Section 18 is one of the worse assaults you can be charged for esp if you are a bloke and you did this to your girlfriend, would you have to inform your employer of this and make them aware that you are still on probation and have been on a perpentrators course for domestic violence? If you had told them and they found out, could they fire you. This is in the UK.

They claim they have proof they mailed their payment, so to issue another check to us, they have to subtract the stop payment charge the bank will charge them.

Is this a legal issue or just a crappy way of doing business with your vendors? Please only answer if you know for sure -- the franchisee is in Texas, the restaurant and their vendor are in Kansas.

My home is only 5 years old. We have had the insurance people to look at it and they all agree that it is a manufacturing error when the shingles were placed on the roof. So now I am paying for a home that could fall in on us at anytime. When my husband removed the vents under the roof we had pieces of the frame work fall out along with pieces of the plywood that is under the roofing paper. What are my options other that fixing it myself?

I spent over a grand to purchase one that had 60 months or 75,000 additonal miles. When the vehicle was traded in there was around 41,300 miles on it and 30months of the warranty expired. The refund was to be pro rated by which ever was greater (the 30 months left or the mileage). I ask what the "ADDITIONAL MILES" MEANT. I thought it was in addtion to the 36,000 miles of the factory warranty. I was informed by (Auto Nation Finacial) not so. It was in addtion to the 47 miles on the vehicle at time of purchase. It seems like a scam to me.
