He was off work for a couple of months as well and got sick pay but thats all.

Theres been a few, that have just looked nasty. I watched Durrants the other week there and it does make yi flinch, when it happens. Cisses, two legs breaks (while at Liverpool and France I think) are also pretty nasty. King Henriks, though although maybe no the worst, was mingin as well, they photos, o his leg just hingin doon at a 90 degree angle. That David Boost one that Schmeicel done was no the best either. Keane, is just a filthy bastard, never really liked him, should have been banned fae playing fitba, for that tackle, then havin the cheek to mention it in his book, saying he wait for him and meant it. That's got nothing to do wi football, that just (in ma book) means theres something wrong in the boys head, if he wants and means to do that.

I broke my leg in 2 places years ago and though as part of my seasons subscription which I was led to believe covered club insurance, I did not get any compensation. Fortunately I was employed by ParcelForce who paid me whilst I was off sick, (3 months), however if the tackle was a bad tackle and you have witnesses you may be able to sue for the injury....mine was a foot across my leg as I played the ball back into the penalty area...I was also fortunate that my ex had private medical cover for both of us through her work so I got private treatment and physio. Good Luck and hope you repair as well as I did.

Can you sue? Of course, you can always sue. The question is actually "can you win?"
Whether or not you can win will likely turn on whether you "assumed the risk." When a player plays a sport, they are deemed to assume the normal risks of playing. Thus, you're unlikely to win unless the other player (the one who tackled you) greatly exceeded the bounds of the game. So, if it was a normal tackle, you're probably out of luck. If he tackled you when your back was turned turning a time-out and you were heading to the water cooler, then you've got a good shot at winning.
Finally, unless the other guy really has it coming (see the time-out example above), you'd be a real -- REAL -- jerk to sue. Suing someone can wreck their life and, for doing that, you would rightfully be branded as someone to avoid at all costs.

You may be able to, but the real question is "should you?". The answer to this is "no." Your leg was broken by accent, during a sport where injuries like that can easily happen that you entered into willingly. Yeah, you broke your leg and that sucks, but no one owes you money because of it because it was no one's fault. Americans need to stop being sue crazy and start taking care of themselves. Suck it up!

you may do, but ask yourself do you want to be one of those prats who sue at every opportunity? you were the one who decided to play football and you knew the risks, bad tackle or no bad tackle. you should have taken out an insurance policy for being self employed, so that in the event of an accident, which i believe the tackle was, you would have been covered.
they say you have nothing to lose, i say you do- your dignity

You may be able to get compensation from the FA, but this would only be minimal as I am assuming you are not a professional player....
Have a go as most of them are no win no fee, so you have nothing to lose
