I spent over a grand to purchase one that had 60 months or 75,000 additonal miles. When the vehicle was traded in there was around 41,300 miles on it and 30months of the warranty expired. The refund was to be pro rated by which ever was greater (the 30 months left or the mileage). I ask what the "ADDITIONAL MILES" MEANT. I thought it was in addtion to the 36,000 miles of the factory warranty. I was informed by (Auto Nation Finacial) not so. It was in addtion to the 47 miles on the vehicle at time of purchase. It seems like a scam to me.

Does the warranty actually say "additional miles"? That's a bit misleading, but if a warranty says 75,000 miles, I would expect it to end at 75,000 miles. So your difference in miles would be 33,700.

That is how most warranties work.
