People are always asking me for money. I don't mean to seem crass, but I have so many people trying to get to me that it is weird and depressing. I try to use my fortune to help as many others as I can by the way and I am considered one of the most generous, and most wealthy, young women....even if I am a bit eccentric.

Many positive aspects to being a millionaire. But there are many negatives. The obvious ones, people asking for money, or worse just hinting.
Probably the biggest unexpected con is having friends. If you suddenly become a millionaire, your current set of friends can easily resent you for not having to work, etc. This can lead to a lot of uncomfortable situations. This is why I think mega stars have entourages. They pay those people to be their friends.
Loosing a sense of yourself. Trying to remain humble, like when your family says "what can I buy you for your birthday, when you can buy anything you want."
Plus the money is not endless. You start living the high life, then you run out of money. You still have to budget.

Cons:
If you suddenly get rich: think about all the family members that are going to ask you for some money FOR LIFE.
You'll have MANY fake friends. And you constantly are going to worry about the right investment so you don't lose your money. And think about all the taxes you'll pay. And all the lawsuits
(when you're rich people sue you all the time). And you'll become obsessed with your appearance. Your spouse will divorce you so half of what you got goes to her. You children will be spoiled brats.
And you'll die alone thinking if all those people that were around you when you were young were with you because of you or because of your money. By the way, you won't take any of that money with you when you die. That's enough cons for me!

Having only a million or two won't make you as rich as it once did. A couple million bucks buys you a nice upper middle class life.
The cons to having money is everyone wants some of it. People are always trying to figure out ways to separate you from your money, and that includes the government.
Personally, I want more of these problems!

Being a millionaire's cons:
1) How do you continue being one?
2) You can have a 'feeling' such that the clever will betray you and take your money away and the dumb can do nothing.
3) You can get unwanted attention.

The need of avoidance. People coming out of the woodwork wanting something. Family members you never heard of before contacting you out of the blue. Having to move to get away.

The fall that comes after you spend all the money.... It doesn't take long to go from private resorts in the Med to private boxes under a bridge.

More chance to only think of yourself. It is easier for a camel to get through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to attain heaven.
