I am a full-time college student working part-time and can simply NOT afford this. I had septoplasty and turbinate reduction for chronic sinus infections.

What would you suggest I do?
I have gotten the letter from my insurance denying coverage (along with the invoice showing all the cost). I did not yet receive the bill of $15,000 from my doctor and $15,000 from the hospital. Should I call them and ask them if they can adjust it to a lower level BEFORE I get their bill or wait until I get the bill to see what happens.

This is crazy. I thought this surgery would be $6,000 at the most!

My health insurance expired on May 31st. I was hospitalized on May 30th for cellulitis.?
My doctor released my from the hospital on the 31st and put me on in home IV antibiodics. Since the diagnoses and preapproval was given by the insurance company before expiration, will the insurance have to continue to pay for this approved treatment?

Just asked a question about getting life insurance for my mom who has Multiple Sclerosis, but to my stupidity, i didnt realize that would be next to impossible. She has a lot of debt, and i'm trying to do the smart thing and take care of it now or at least plan for it. Will her debt become mine? Will her Pension dissbility from the Marines benefit in any way? I just never had to think about all this stuff. Thanks

My wife got a bill from our doctor's office from July 2006 that states 'insurance has denied these services for timely filing'. 'We have submitted proof of timely filing $ they still have not processed the claim. You owe us $85.00'

Obviously we had nothing to do with the paperwork or the bureaucracy of the problem. Why would we been on the hook for the money when it is the office that didn't follow through on their end?

If i purchased an item via credit card and the merchant refused to run the card for 1 year would I still be responsible for that charge as well?

I was in a car wreck 2 months ago. It was the other guy's fault, so his insurance company paid for damages, and took care of medical bills for my 2 children.
At the time of the wreck, I didn't seek medical attention.
Now 2 months later, after the wreck, I find myself having severe panic attacks. I have a fear of being run over again , and again, at every intersection that I cross, because of the wreck I had.
I am in constant fear of driving, and my panic attacks are so severe, that my hands clintch the steering wheel, and someone has to pry them off. I hyperventilate that bad.
I have called the insurance company, and left a message as to what is going on, and no one will call me back. What do I do?
This car wreck has caused this, I know it is not a physical injury, my question is wouldn't the insurance be responsible for my emotional turmoil?
I was told I have 2 years to file on medical claims, is this true? I haven't signed off on any medical claims.

Obviously, people over 50 years old will pay a high premium--but is there a company out there that won't "soak the customer" , and at the same time are a reputable company ?

In closing--I am not a fan of the 'colonial penn' type deals that plaster their commercials over the television.

When I was pregnant, I called the pediatrician's office and asked if they accept my insurance, and they told me that they do. I met the pediatrician a month later, and then a month after that my son was born (November 25). The pediatrician came and looked at my son when he was born, and then after about 4 doctor's visits, I learned that my health insurance company is not part of their network, leaving me with a $300 bill. I called the doctor's office and told them that I would accept responsibility for that bill, but that I would need to find a new doctor that does accept my insurance. She told me that she would try to become part of the network, and not to worry about paying anything. The baby has seen the doctor several times since then, and every time I bring him to the doctor, she just says "they haven't gotten back to me yet". Now I am getting a bill from the doctor saying I owe them $1000. I intend to get a new doctor for my son, but should I be forced to pay that bill?

We stayed in a hotel advertised in a qantas holidays brochure. It was mouldy and dirty and was not cleaned daily as advertised, so we checked out but were charged a nights cancellation fee, although we did not use the room at all that day. then we stayed at another hotel and had to pay for that rom too, so we payed for both rooms although we only used onr obviously. my travel insurance company is refusing to refund my original room, quoting that i chose a more expensive hotel as if i wanted to screw around trying to find accomodation on my overseas holiday!! There was a conference!! There were no other hotels to stay anyway!! but anyway, do i have a case at all? is someone liable to pay this, even if it be the company who advertised the hotel? I had to pay an extra $100 a night to stay at the clean place for 4 more days, i didnt have a choice but all i want back is the cheaper hotels 1 night accomodation which we did not use. what do i do?

I received the Explanation of Benefits from my insurance company recently and all it basically says is that it does not cover any part of my hospital bill and surgery and I'm about to be sent a bill from the hospital that cost close to $7,000. I am a full-time undergraduate college student, with no job, meaning no income, and my parents won't help me. Is there any way to reduce the hospital bill to something more reasonable?

Your input would help me so much, thank you!

On my job for over 18 years and the 'official' reason for termination was job elimination. I was under the impression that my insurance coverage would last for 90 days after not employed and then I could begin Cobra. Is this not the law?

If you wanted to get health insurance, but have already been to see a doctor about a problem, would the insuarnce company be able to find out? Cos they say if it is a "pre-condition" they wont insure. Yet, if I didnt go to the doc, and got insuarnce, and THEN went to the doc it would be covered! Go figure!
Will they know??
