I have Medicare & Medicaid, & I always have a hard time getting my prescriptions filled because Medicaid always tries to make Medicare pay for it, & then I have to pay out of pocket for them. Medicare alwways give me a hard time because they want Medicaid to pay for the prescriptions. & I have both & am eligible for both.

Does anyone else have this problem?

New to this area, I am trying to find a dentist for my family. The first dentist was wonderful, but required an additional payment of my next born child for services. I have an awesome 80% dental coverage through work, and the old dentist accepted it as 100% payment. Was that just a fluke?

When our twins are born in October?I was under the impression that with insurance you either have a "single" rate or a "family"rate this is why my assumption is that the rate will not change...Anyone know for sure?

Ok if I JUST enrolled in my medical insurance and I go to the doctor and get numerous tests and stuff done.... will it pay for all of it?(or what its normally supposed to cover) or do you have to build up pay before you can do that. I know this is a stupid question but I'm new to this! Thanks!

My mom has been paying on a whole life policy for over 50 years. The benefit amount is now only $6000. I think she could have had more than $60,000 had she put this money in a bank instead. Is paying on a policy this long with such a small benefit legal?

I have read many answers about term vs. whole life insurance. Maybe I am dumb, but I am still confused with all the options and blah blah blah. Here is my situation and please suggest what I should do as far as life insurance.
1. My husband (works for state, $60,000/yr) is the only one working.
2. We are both 32 years old this year.
3. We have 1 son (age of 1)
4. We own a house which is paid off (renting out right now)
5. We would like to purchase another house in the near future (1-2 years)
6. We would like to have another child.
7. I have a college degree so I can work if I want to in the future
8. We have a college fund set up for my son and plan to have him work to pay for part of his college.
9. We have Roth IRA and 457 for retirement. Not so much$$
10. My husband just wants to make sure that my child(ren) and I will have enough money if something were to happen to him.
Now, what should we do about life insurance? I know we will get other insurance (accidental).

My boyfriend was recently in a car accident and at the time the accident he didnt have any injuries or pain but now hes starting to feel stiff in his neck and back and he has some pretty bad bruising and cuts on his hips where the seatbelt dug into his skin. He did tell the girls (the one who hit and admitted fault to the accident)insurance company about his injuries and they offered a pety $150 bucks to cover the expenses of future doctor visits and his pain in his neck, back, and shoulders. My question is can you try to get more money out of this girls insurance company or do you have to take this offer.

Thanks for ur help and sorry for the lengthy question

My parents come to visit from England every few years and in the past we were able to get them a Short Term Major Medical Policy for the 6-8 Week they were in the US. Now with there health they are most likely not going to qualify for it. Can anyone tell me how the Socialized medicine of England works if they get ill here in the US ( if at all) and what are some other options for them. They are scared to travel with out being covered in the US.

I hold 2 policies: an endowment and a whole life policy. I have bought these policies for about 1.5 year already. Now, I realized the higher costs are not justifiable and like to terminate these policies and switch to a term policy.

I called up and spoke to my agent (I did not send her any written notice) about terminating these policies and she strongly advised me to let the policies lapse rather than surrender immediately.

Is there any 'catch' I'm unaware of when letting the policies lapse, as compared to surrendering them immediately?
