Ok, I am sick of this blue cross insurance I have. I went to the doctor and talked to him for maybe 5 minutes. He did not do anything, did not prescribe me anything. I talked to him about the medicine I was taking, that is it. I paid my copay. I thought I had an understanding that when you go see a doc. you pay the copay and that is it. I thought that is what the copay is for...right? I get a bill from blue cross that I owe more money from that dr appt...that the amt is more than the insurance co. will pay.

What the heck is this? What the heck is a copay for then??? I went to see the doctor a few months ago when I got my yearly exam, paid the copay and then got a bill saying I owed another 70 bucks! Does anyone work in insurance or know if this is right or not? What the heck is a copay and insurance for if I'm paying so much per month and pay a copay and I STILL owe money....

Years back in 1997 my father passed away and he talked for years about more then one policy that he had. Since we where young and he was older he had a woman who was power of attourney over them and they would sit in trust until we turned 21 years of age. Well she claimed they never existed. Later after speaking with a lawyer he told me she could have changed the name of the beneficiary since she had power of attourney over them and nothing would ever be said unless someone came foward to call foul. She would have to then prove that she changed the name in there best intrest IE someone who might be ill or something of that nature. But if no one came forward nothing would ever be said. She knew we did not know the name of the company he had this policy or policies so we could never call foul. Is there any way at all you can research or anyone you can contact to see if a policy was cashed in that belonged to him or something along those lines any help would be greatly apprciated. Texas

My husband and I moved into a town home last Sept. and got our place inspected by an inspector last July. How we discovered this was we had a leak in our kitchen and right above it is the bathroom so we knew it coming from the show from the bathroom. We had a plummer come out to look at the problem and he cut the cieling in the kitchen and their was mold pretty much all over. We called our insector who inspect the home before we got the town home and he said to call our home insurance company and he had nothing to do with it. The plummer said the home insurance does not cover the mold because it was there before we purchase the town home. Who should we go after the home inspector? The people who sold us the town home? Any suggestions would help.

I used to work for a billing company and if they got a superbill with aprimary diagnosis that they knew an insurance company would not pay for, ie. mental problems, hair loss, obesity, but the doctor put other problems, say hypertension, they would list the medical diagnosis and omit the non covered ones. I think this is insurance fraud. If so, how could an audit be done anonymously? I would love to close them down. You can tell I have a beef with this company.

I started seeing my endocrinologist since dec..i was recommened his name by my bro who is a doc and i called the doc and told him i have one insurance which he doesn't accept. He called back saying that he is making a special request and started seeing me and we both assumed diffent things and he now gives me a bill for 2500....which i am supposed to pay according to my insurance rule and docs rule. But i wasn't aware of it and they weren't aware either. My insurance pays like may be 250 out of this and i have to pay the rest which is too much for me to handle. If i knew i would have opted out long before. We come from a different country and this is our first insurance use and we r living on onepay roll and my husband supports me for my studies which r very expensive. That leaves us with very little money for us.What can be done?please advice.

My Sister is getting the run around, Her son had a Insurance policy when he died, in Oct 06. She is being told it was just accidental insurance, But will are pretty sure it was Term. and they are just trying not to pay out, and not telling her the truth. He was paying to much for it to be accidental. I checked by calling the company and asking for insurance for my own Son with the same age. They said they don't advise accidental Insurance, at that age, Term would be better. What should I do to help her?

Hi, I recently got married and added my husband to my health insurance through my employer, he decides he wants to stick with his employer health insurance and doesn't want mine. So I'm stuck with the premium and 1 health insurance while he has two health insurances, is he allowed to do that or will he be in trouble when it comes time to go to the hospital or doctor, etc.?

I am due in February and my doctor told me he delivers at two hospitals and told me which one was the better one. He said I needed to get a quote from this hospital and then get a quote from every other hospital in town. Then, he said I could negotiate with them to get them to beat the best price. Does anyone know who I talk to in a hospital to do this and how I go about doing it? I got the quotes, it's the negotiating that is the problem. If I screw this up I don't have another chance. Yikes!

I had a pretty high paying job (for my age) in the restuarant industry and during that time I took a loan out, and a motorcycle payment in addition to my regular bills (car, phone, insurance, rent etc). Since then, the restaurant went out of business leaving me with tons of bills. I claimed unemployment, and have been trying really hard to find another job that can cover all my bills.

So basically, my father (who owns his own business) found out and absolutely cannot stand that Im on umemployment. He really really hates it and is almost at the point where he wants to disown me. My question is, why does he care so much? Does he pay (out of his business) for me to collect? I was under the impression that the employer pays, and the fact that I have been working 6 years in the past. Thanks in advance to anyone that can shed some light.

I'm 20 years old, married, no kids. I want to take out a term life insurance plan. (I probably will need it for about 30 years) My question is, should I take out a 30 year plan, so I will be paying the same rates in 30 years? Or should I take out a shorter one, paying less, than purchase another one in 10 or 20 years? I've heard speculation that rates will be lower when I'm 40 because life expectancy will be longer. What do you guys think? I'm in good health and don't have a bad medical family history. Thanks!!

I am looking to get a home owners policy with Homesite. They require a 25% down payment and monthly payments. I am thinking I might want to change policies in 2 or 3 months. If I cancel will I be charged anything beyond the monthly cost, ie a termination or set up fee.
I looked for info on the web site, but they don't have contract details on there.

We are trying to avoid paying $500 for event insurance, is there a way around it? We are thinking we can have people sign a waiver but we are planning for over 200 people. We have NO FUNDS. We are trying to raise money for other projects in the neighborhood. Is there another way to protect ourselves that doesn't leave us vulnerable to lawsuits?

I have had no health insurance for the last 1yr since being downsized by my prior employer. My old beneifits expired and I didn't continue due to the higher cost without the help of my previous employer. I have had some medical issues causing me to visit the ER in the last 6months. I was wondering if any health provider reimburses their new clients on preexisting medical matters. If so please tell me some, so I can save myself from soon to be high medical bills. I'm cleaning up my past negitive credit issues and I don't want this lowering my score after all the catch up I have been playing.
