I was turning at a yielding light. To my knowledge it was clear to go. however, while I was in my turn, a car from the opposite side was speeding and hit me on the side bumper and I hit him on the driver back sit. The police man did not give neither one a ticket. My insurance company is denying the claim but most likely their insurance will deny our claim so it will be taken to arbritration. How do you think this case will be handle?

I incurred a back injury and visited the chiropractic doctor 14 times. I had a MRI, massages, and exercises done. I feel better now. The visit to the doctor cost me $1500 and the MRI cost me another $1500. I had a coverage for PIP for 10000 and the guy who hit me had a full coverage on his car.
My attorney is filing a case against each of these companies.
My lawyer is telling me that I dont have a valid case because I didnt sustained a permanent injury. My attorney had asked with my doctor for my medical release.
I was also paid $4500 for my car by ALLSTATE (The insurance company of the guy at fault).
I am a full time student and trying to complete my school on loan. So I haven't worked from the day of my accident to this date.

So my attorney is filing for a settlement with both of the insurance companies. So I am going to get any money from this? I had a doctors bills for $1500, MRI cost of $1500 and a $4500 for my car.
So how much is my case worth now? I am in florida

Every mortgage company (in FL) requires that the borrower have homeowner's insurance. If you do not purchase it youself at the time of your purchasing the home the mortgage company chooses one for you and your account is escrowed.
Does anyone know the name of the mortgage company that Suntrust Bank currently defaults their borrowers to if the borrower does not provide proof of insurance soon after the closing?
ANY input would be helpful. This info is no where to be found on their websites and I would rather not call the Suntrust Mortgage Company at this time.

My sutdent health insurance denied claims, because my new husband's insurace. They are saying my student health insuracne is not covering when I am listed under my husband's health insurance.....My doctors and hospitals were under "my" insurance, not under my new husbands. My husband re-claimed thru his insurance, but was also denied.... Which place do I need to go first? Should I hire a lawyer? Or file a complaint at Department of Insurance (California)? I am worrying the state agency is so~ slow, and miss right timing to fight against. Anyone has experience with filing a complaint thru state agency, and get it resolved? How long does it take to start their investigation?

I had surgery back in 2005. I didn't have insurance, so I applied for COBRA. When I asked when the policy would be active, the person taking my information told me she would backdate it to the beginning of THAT day. So, I went to my dr that day and he told me that I needed an ultrasound. The next day, after the ultrasound, I was told I needed to have surgery. A week later, I had the surgery. A month after the surgery, the insurance I got through COBRA sent me a letter telling me that my actual start date on the policy was the day AFTER I called, so they considered my problem to be a pre-existing condition and wouldn't cover the surgery. Also, I wasn't aware that I was still covered under my parents ins. When I found out, I sent them the claim, but they wouldn't pay due to timely filing. All the dr's bills are now in collections. Is there any way to appeal after this length of time? If there is, how would I go about doing this?

Trying to find out if insurance carrier can deny dental services for a child in an outpatient hospital setting simply based on anxiety or fear. Does the child have to have a mental disorder/physical handicap etc? Is there an age limit? Does it have to be for oral surgery only or would simple cleanings or fillings be enough?

Why should those who havent paid for home insurance complain that the government isnt helping them? Surelly, if they recieve financial aid, why bother with insurance?
Its a tragedy and i dont mean to take anything away from their suffering, but it seems to make a mockery of insurance (and the people that buy it) if everyone had the damage paid for by the tax payer

1) How much do you pay for health insurance per year (if provided by employer you are still technically paying since it is part of your compensation)?
2) What type of coverage is it (full coverage, catastrophic, individual, family, HMO, PPO)?
3) Is that more or less than what you paid in 2006 federal income tax?
4) The June 2007 US labor force was estimated at 153+ million workers, if each worker paid what you pay for health insurance to create a non-profit consumer co-op funding the exact insurance program you receive, would our national health care be better or worse off?

*My employer pays my health insurance ~$10K/yr for full coverage family plan PPO, slightly more than my federal income tax, slightly less than all payroll and income taxes put together. This would amount to over $15.3 Trillion to cover the 153+ Million workers and their families.
