The police report shows an insurance policy number, but it does not state the name of the issuing company. The person ran into my brick and iron fence with his car and I want to file a claim against his insurance (not my homeowner's policy). The police apparently do not record this information (annoying). Is there a numerical format of some kind that easily identify's which company issued the insurance?

1 John and Mary C were a middle-aged couple in the midst of planning for their retirement. John was 55 and had decided to put the maximum ammount $2000 into an IRA account for the next ten years. He was planning to retire at 65. The couple felt they they should make arrangements for the following twenty years and not concerned about planning beyond the age of 85. They wanted the funds that accumulated in the IRA to purchase a 20 year annuity. They had one child, whom they wished to leave or give $50,000 when they reached 85.
Based on the investment opportunities available, Larson felt that a 13% interest rate should be used in evaluating their situation. The couple was concerned about how much of an annuity to purchase at retirement that would still leave enough in their investment to grow to $50,000 in twenty years.

2. Ansel and Harriet W were a young highly educated professional couple both employed by one of the leading resort hotels in the area. They were planning on saving for a new house which they expected to purchase in seven years. In addition to that financial retirement, they felt that Harriet would quit working at that time to care for their expected family, and that the loss of her income would make them unable to keep up payments on the house without an annuity to supplement his income.
The couple felt that they needed $1500 a year in supplemental income beginning at the end of the eighth year to assist with the house payments, and that they needed this for each year of the next thirty years. They also wanted to have $50,000 With which to make the down payment in 7 years when they planned to buy the house. As both were working, they had plenty of funds for savings and were wondering how much they should put away at the end of each of the next seven years to be able to make the down payment and buy the annuity. Larson felt that an 11% interest rate applied to their situatution.

I am researching insurance, but do wealthier people have better insurance than poorer people? I went to a dentist and I have a few cavities and one tooth has to be extracted. The total dental bill isn't too much money for me. How do I afford a $3000 + tooth implant or two set bridge? . My parents can afford that, but I can't. Do cheap insurance plans cover $30000 + dental operations? I called a local insurance agent and he said $244.50/month insurance is the best he can do. That is way too much money for me. Ultimately, this is all my fault. I have not been to a dentist in 10years and I was unaware that I must visit a dentist every year.

premium will increase as mush as 4%. Let me understand this. Allied will give me a check for the items taken then make me pay for the check over time....Isn't that like being vicimized twice? Why would my premium increase for using my homeowners insurance? Isn't that what I've been paying them for every month for the last 3 1/2 years?

My late husband beleived that I was the beneficiary of his life insurance. I REMEMBER early in our marriage that we both changed our beneficiaries to each other. He told others that I was the beneficiary.

However, after he died I discovered that the insurance company had his mother as the beneficiary. She has made it very clear that I will not see a penny of it. I cannot find the documentation that indicates that I was the beneficiary. I know that as a general rule one cannot successfully contest the life insurance beneficiary. Under these circumstances do I have any hope of successfully suing for the money?

i crashed into a sign inside a hospital parking lot. it was a medium sized sign on 2 posts mounted into the concrete and security said it seemed kind of wobbly and was still in the concrete. management is still deciding if i am responsible and if any repairs need to be done. i know there is know way to tell exactly but just a ballpark do you think my 5000 (minimum california property damage insurance) will covere it or is it way more? (the reason i hit it was because i passed out after i left the emergency room because i didnt have insurance and i decided i didnt want treatment) i signed a waiver saying i left against hospital will (but no doctor was present to sign) if i was stuck with an unpayable bill would this document without any physicians signature mean anything? (trust me the last person i would want to sue is a doctor but i just want to know if i have any leverage

We were in a minor accident with the other parties fault, after 5 months of waiting on our insurance company to get the other company to call their insured, we filed a no-fault claim with our insurance, so we are now waiting on $1000 remainder (which was our deductable) and again, our insurance company keeps stating they are waiting on the other insurance company to get ahold of their customer. How long does this process take? we been on our insurance companies rear almost once a week trying to get them to do something more then just "put calls in"

I fell from a roof and shaddered my right heel bone in about 50 places when i landed on my feet. I had surgery 10 days later and they put my heel back together with about 9 bolts/srews and a steel plate on 1/28/07. It took until now to be released to part time work. My doctor has my records marked as a possible permanent impairment. I know i can work for about 2 hours before it starts hurting and i'm walking with a good limp after about 4 hours. My doctor said this won't be wrapped up until febuary. The insurance company wants to meet with me next week. I think they are wanting to offer me a settlement. It seems to be too soon for this. As an Licensed Electrician i usually make around 50.000 per year or better. I'm worried about whether i will be able to perform til i retire which is another 37 years or better before that happens. That's pretty much all the details. What kind of settlement should i consider if the insurance company tries to force my hand?
