other than medicaid(the one that's not restricted to seniors) that accepts those with little or no income? If so what is it called?

No private insurance company sells "less than market value" insurance to people who have problems already. They'd go broke in about a month.

The only OTHER source of insurance is an employer.

for those under 65 there is:
private insurance - Blue Cross, Celtic, etc.
requires great health or lots of money or both to be accepted.

Under 65 and disabled
Medicare disability - no medical requirement some premium, no job
Supplemental available - min. medical but lots of money

Medicaid - no medical, no income and little money. state administered, LITTLE money requirement is severe.

Most states have their own plan for those situations. Check that out. Especially if you have kids.
