Dear officer,

I just bought car April. Before the agent register the car, I had request the agent to stop purchased due to I need to transfer my car to my girl friends. But, the car argent(car sales man and the insurance agent are under same company)refuse to do so. Thus, I force cancel car insurance and refinancing. The refinancing process takes me 2 months time.Within this period I just put my car in the house.I keep on request the insurance officer to cancel my car insurance policy. But, they keep on delay me.They mentioned i need original certificate to cancel but they didnt sent me the certificate. Finally I get the original last weeks then I proceed with my cancellation. Due to the above delay, the amount of money refund reduce more than 45%. Now, they only inform me according to law i need insurance when i own a car. So, they will paid me start from the refinace date not the date i request to cancel. I feel they not etchical doing the business. Can you help me

Back in 2000 when I was 21 years old after just I blew my entire savings of $11,000, I knew I made a horrible mistake.

If I had to go through that time and so forth all over again physically being 21 again but knowing everything I know now at 28 and as my family around me advised that I should get that 1998 white Camaro with 24K miles because it's reliable, I would DEFINTIELY laugh in their faces now and tell them they've gotta be out of their God-damn minds and must think I'm an indiot if I'm gonna just blow my enitre savings of $11,000 away. I would ask them what the hell I'm doing on these new car lots and have them take me to a private seller and get a car for as cheap as $3000, keep $1,000 for tools and repairs, have fun with $1,000 on beer, strip clubs, EBAY, etc., and keep $6,000 in my bank and not even touch it.

That's what I would've done had I known what I know now.
What would you think of my decision had I done that?

I hit a car yesterday. The claim total is 840.00 and they would like me to pay for a two day car rental out of pocket. I don't feel that I was at fault, but I don't want my rates to go up if I claim this accident. Do rates automatically go up if you have one claim on your insurance. I also want the other drivers insurance to be aware of the accident if my insurance company pays for it. Any suggestions?

After having a company car for 6 years they want to stop me having one and give me an allowance instead which relates to a substantial pay cut ( the allowance will not allow me to have a similar spec vehicle )and leaves me without a car.

My stepdaughter, who moved in with us, was seen in the emergency room in December. When I signed the consent for her to be seen, it showed her gaurantor as her mother, meaning that she was responible for her medical bills that insurance did not cover. Now the mother has called the medical center and refused to pay, and they are threatening to turn us in to a collection agency. There is no legal custody of the daughter, and the mother does not pay child support. My question is, since I signed the consent, which stated that the birth mother was the guarantor, and it was witnessed by the medical center employee, shouldn't that be a legal and binding agreement through both parties? We pay for her health insurance, car insurance, clothes, food, everything. Can they change us to her gaurantor without our consent?

I have a question. My daughter's doctor accepts insurance. For people that are uninsured, she has a sliding scale based on income. A woman told me that based on her father's income of $40,000.00 per year for a family of 4, she usually pays about $9.00 for an office visit. How is this possible? Who pays the rest? I wonder about this, because for my insurance, the co-pay alone is $45.00. Can the doctor really afford to see one patient for only $9.00? Or is there another subsidy that I am unaware of? If anyone knows the answer to this, please give lots of details, because it has been bothering me ever since I had the conversation with that young lady.

any one out there famliar with or work with insurance companies on arbitration of a reconstructive proceedure?
United Health Care has denied two seperate claims to repair my severe belly button hernia and diastasis( separation of the abdominal rectus muscles) due to trauma of multiple pregnicies (3) and My ab muscles are mot protecting my intestins OR my abdominal decending aorta due to the CT scan results. I TRIED to get a general surgeon to do it, but they say only a cosmetic doc does this type of reconstruction... Very similar to a tummy tuck... but it is NOT. Insurance denied coverage for it EVEN though 4 DIFFERENT DOCTORS say I shouldnt sit on this too long for A small blow or kick from the kids could cause intestinal tearing causing me to become septic, the intestins could come through the belly button, and I need my muscle wall closed up ASAP. Docs have sent leters to company stating in great detail how NECESSARY this is but they still refuse to cover they think its for cosmetic reasons. If I arbitrate it, 1st,... how... 2nd, what else could i say to get them to understand??

I got a better rate elsewhere, and switched. Called my current insurance to cancel and they slapped me with a hefty bill saying that some states make the customer pay a 41% or some such number "penalty" for switching. I told the rep. that was crap, and I won't be paying this amount. Furthermore, I will be sending a complaint to the Commissioner of Insurance in NC.

My dad (71 yrs) is on Medicare. Even though he has to take a lot of prescriptions, he did not sign up for Part D and of course, being middle of the year, too late for this year. He has now fallen into the "gap" where he has to pay everything in full (up to $2500, I think). We found a prescription plan on line-1020rx, where the script he just pay $100/week for, would be $25. However, the pharmacist talked him out of using this saying only $25 is now applied to the "gap instead of the $100. Either way, he still has to pay the $2500, but by using the 1020rx, he would only pay $100/month vs. $400. Sounds like they want him to fork out all this $$ upfront and he doesn't have it. What is wrong with using this script plan? Yes, it will take longer to reach the $2500 but so what? either way he has to pay it. My sisters and I are confused. Anyone have experience with this?

My friend was born with a hole in her heart. She has had a total of 5 surgeries already, but none have been covered by her insurance. The family is literally multi-millions in debt. The excuse is that the hole is pre-existing. She was born with it!!!!! Also, my friend was on her parents' health insurance before the doctors found the hole...would that make it NOT pre-existing?

How can Health Insurance providers be so in-human?
