How much do Americans have to pay in health insurance cost per month and what is covered? What happens if you don't have any insurance and your illness is not a emergency treatment, Are you left to suffer because you can't afford treatment? What happens if you have a long lasting illness, can you get insurance?

Thank god I was burn in England and don't have to worry about getting ill as all treatment is free no matter what is wrong with you. America is the rishist nation on earth and it can't evern treat it sick with good health care.

Over a year ago I was misdiagnosed in WV with galbladder stones. I was so sick that I flew home to FL with a fever of 103 and they found out my kidneys were filled with fluid that contained MRSA. The doctor who reviewed my CT scan sent from up north had made a quiet comment that the previous doctor who saw me up north should have caught that.

I know that no doctor would testify another doctor (which I respect), but if the CT scan clearly shows my kidneys filled with fluid, can I try to sue?

I'm quite sure I would have gone into septic shock and died had I not been admitted that night.

I want to apply for medicaid. If I am married does the father still have to pay for part of the hospital bill, or is it all covered where we wouldn't have to pay anything? Does it matter if the father lives in Mexico and isn't a US citizan?

We just had a hail storm in our area and our insurance agent claims that just the back half of our roof was damaged in the storm. In talking with a roofer, he said that there was a rule that if the insurance was going to cover more than 25% of your roof, they had to replace the whole thing. I'm in Minnesota. Can anyone confirm or deny this? Any web resources to back this up? Thanks in advance!

The thing is I dont have recpits for most of the items that were stolen, will this be a problem when making my claim? I have got a police report from the chinese police to support my claim. If you feel that the Govt. will just screw it up,and that 'free' health care will make the country socialist.
How's that 'free' fire care doin' for ya?
How's that 'free' police care workin' out?
What about your 'free' roads and hi-ways?
Taxes are not socialism !
Taxes being used for the COMMON GOOD are the true meaning of Democracy ! We all benifit from all the taxes used to make this a strong nation ! Pay your taxes or leave !

If you have ever had to make a claim, were you satisfied? Was the company helpful and reasonable, or did its performance leave something to be desired. Was a legitimate claim denied?

We have a leak in our kitchen roof, which our insurance company (a major building society) were informed of in December 2006. After months of waiting, they sent someone down in May 07 to fix it. It's taken them a month to plaster the room and now it's leaking again!

Is there an agency responsible for checking consumers rights in such situations? We're at the end of our tethers, please help!

I had a simple surgery on April, now is reviewing the doctors' bill, I had a bill from this Anesthesiologist want to charge me 500% of RBRVS rate $900 for the service directly and mentioned that I had to pay the full amount, my health insurance is PPO, it sent me EOB explaining that this anesthesiologist is an Out of network service provider, so the insurance company just paid $66, I pay $66 plus the bill balancing of $768. I checked this Anesthesiologist's name is in the insurance company data base, her billing office denied that she is an in network, I noticed that she is using another medical group out of state to bill the insurance company...
I called the insurance com. customer support, and get them reprocess the out of network bill into In work bill since I can point out the Physician ID and they reply with her name and address in the data base, what should I do to this Anesthesiologist's bill, pay the PPO rate and ignore her bill and send her the proof that she is in netwok..

If your insurance company pays you a small amount for a large loss and you then sue the party who caused the loss, what complications can there be for you? Are there conflicts of interest sometimes which prevent an insurance company from pursuing subrogation? If they do pursue subrogation, do they share in paying the legal fees.? If they are also insuring those who caused the loss, will they pay out under those people's insurance?

My wife and I own a house and are trying to obtain a new Homeowners insurance policy. You see, we've lived here for 2 yrs and were robbed 2x in the first 13 months...We since installed a GOOD alarm system, put security doors up and haven't had any problems. It's not a bad neighborhood perse, maybe just bad luck, living on a corner and such.
Our Insurance is "non-renewing" our policy and we're trying to find a new one, but it's tough as you can probably guess. It's REALLY PISSING me off, as this is not our fault, we make sufficient income, have EXCELLENT credit (I know this means little to insurance), but are currently working with the company that handles our car insurance. They tried one place and were told no and are currently looking into another.
What happens if we aren't able to find anything, at least right away? I believe that our mortgage company says that we need insurance (states on contract). We only have about a week to find something, otherwise...
Advice?
