I am 27, good health but family has a history of high colesterol, high blood pressure, cancer, etc... I am also a single father to a 4 year old girl. I have a small ammount of coverage through my work ($15,000), and no real assets to my name other than my car. If something were to happen to me I don't really have much in the way of financial security to offer to my daughter. Should I look at getting additional life insurance for myself?

1. Is this a fee-for-service, or managed care policy?
2. What are the premium costs?
3. What is the deductible?
4. Is there a co-insurance amount, and if so, what is it?
5. Is there a co-payment amount, and if so, what is it?
6. Are their any exclusions to the policy (e.g. pre-existing conditions, birth control pills, etc.), and if so, what are they?

I'm working 2 jobs, a ft & a pt. I need help deciding which health insurance to pick. One thing to keep in mind-- I am currently pregnant (11 weeks), so need the BEST coverage recommendation.

*first health benefit-full time job: (single only)
-$28.16 weekly cost
-Deductible=$1300
-70% after deductible
-$30 copay then 100%
-$1,000,000 life time maximum benefit-- (i have no clue what that is)
*in this plan, there is a choice of ppo & non ppo.. what is the difference??

*second health benefit part time- (single)
+option 1
-$50 weekly cost
-Deductible = $250
-90% to $10,000 coinsurance
-$30 copay then 100%
-2,000,000 life time maximum

+option 2
-$43.00 weekly cost
-500 deductible
-90% to $10,000 coinsurance
-30 copay then 100%
-same 2,000,000 life time maximum.

+option 3
-35.00 weekly cost
-1000 deductible
-80% to $10,000 coinsurance
-30 copay then 100%

I don't know which insurance option i should go with.. i don't want to be cheap..

I got the shaft from some one who hit me in the rear who had insurance. They said I changed lanes quickly and then hit my brakes. It is true I changed lanes but it was a good five seconds later after I had to slow down. If I was not there he would have hit the car in front of me. HE HAD INSURANCE. The insurance would not pay. I could never resolve the problem because I could not find the person to serve the sepiana.

I am looking into getting my insurance license and was wondering what the requirements are besides the 40hr pre-license classes. How deep are the credit checks? Will a collection keep me out of it? Anything you can tell me would be appreciated. Thanks

I just passed my California Property and Casulty exam last week and my boss said he won't give me a raise. I took the exam because the other licensed person is leaving next week. If I wouldn't have passed he really wouldn't have anyone who is licensed. He paid for the first test (which I didn't pass) but I paid for the 2nd test, the crash course and fingerprinting. I really don't want to tell you guys how much he pays me, because it's embarassing. I took the job because I thought it would be a good opportunity to learn something new, I've been in the mortgage industry for the past 5 years. I took the low pay because I knew I had no experiance in Insurance, but thought I would get more money once I got licensed. My question is should I get another job? I feel bad that he paid for the first test and now I am just going to leave. I have a 1 year old son and could really use a raise, anyone have any advice? I also wouldn't know were to even look for a job?? Can anyone help?

My 3 year old is in preschool and he never had the chicken pox vaccine because I don't think it's neccesary. The school said he's putting other children at risk and they require ALL children to have the vaccine. He has to get it or he cannot continue school there. He loves his school and I'd hate to remove him from there.

I've read alot about the vaccine and how it can cause problems for him later in life. I really don't think it's necessary for him to have it.

What I really don't understand is this. If all the other children in the school are vaccinated and my son gets the chicken pox. And possibly exposes them to it. If the vaccine really works then the other children shouldn't get it from him. Right? So why does he need it? I want him to get the chicken pox. My other children are older and they got the chicken pox when the were 3 and 4 and had no problems after.

A shop manager has been has asked by her employer to lie in a letter for an insurance claim.
-The claim is for items that were shoplifted, while the manager was not present, which is exactly what she stated in the police report.
-If she was not present the Insurance company will pay the claim, now the employesr asks that she write to the insurance company saying she was present.
Help: what are the technicalities and implications if she writes such letter?
(she risks losing her job if she does not cooperate)

They have accepted the terms of my insurance up until this point in my pregnancy, now they are saying that my insurance does not pay them enough for their services and may or may not see me through the full term and follow up care. Aren't they obligated to see me through to the end of this pregnancy and follow up before dropping me?
