I was living in a rental unit, that caught fire July 12 of this year. I was wondering if I was able to make a claim on my landlords, property damage and/or is liabliaty homeowners insurance? The fire was caused by the a.c outlet that over heated, the a.c unit was installed in a wall that was vented into a enclosed garage. We lost almost everything, I had been living in this home for 5 years. Should I or can I even make a claim, I did not have renters insurance at the time, I certainly do now and am kicking my self in the but for not having it then we lost about 13,000$ of property.

We bought our policy last year and it is a total rip off. I could get more insurance with the same terms for less than half (and it is a term policy). Any suggestions?

Thank you

Does anyone know of jobs within the Chicagoland area that offer health insurance for part time workers? I know I heard rumors that Jewel and Starbucks used to, but with the rising cost of healthcare, I'm not sure anymore. Thanks for your kind reply!

Is it possible to buy life insurance on people dying and then me keep half and give their family half of it too? I'm just curious as I thought it would be a good money maker.

Hi,
I am currently in a High deductible HSA plan of my company. I have added by son also to my policy so I am considered family for the purpose of contribution, so I am allowed to put in $5700/year. My wife has her own policy from her employer. The question is this. My wife's employer is also now offering an HSA plan and is also going to contibute to her plan. In this context, can she also establish a HSA account in addition to the one I have. If so what would be her limit for the year. Will we as a family have a total limit of $5700 or will it be $5700 for me and $2850 for her.

Can anyone confirm.

Thanks

Fell and lost the sense of smell and tase, but would be really hard pressed to prove company was negligent. Losses are not covered by insurance policy as is loss of eyesight, limbs etc.

I bought my car through my credit union at work. My car payments are $323 a month, which I can afford, but my car insurance is $547 a month.

My question is, Is there any way that I can put my mother's name on my car and go back under her insurance policy, or any way that I can go back under her insurance policy AT ALL?

I'm not sure what can be done when there's a lein holder involved.

My only other options are - A] Go crazy from financial stress, B] Sell my car back and start walking or C] Work 2 full time jobs just so I can eat.

My husband and I have this insurance through his employer. We still have not received our insurance cards in the mail. We can't seem to get the lady in charge of this at his work to do anything. She always gets too busy and forgets. I tried to look up the phone number on Aetna website but it says to look at your id card. Does anyone have this number? Thank you.
