I have had a number of jobs due to the domino effect of a big mill closing, lay offs, downsizing, not making enough to live on or support the family, and even not being liked because I could'nt be intimidated by former bosses and refuse to kiss *** or be part of a clique.

when you're renting a place and they give you a price say $600 and they say utility included, does that mean that the utility is separate from the rent which will make it like $650 or does it mean its with the rent and you just pay $600??????

Ok, first of all, I know it's a scam...that's not what my question is about.
The letter I received in the mail about this "turn your $6.00 into $800,000 (blah, blah, blah" said that it had been proven by Oprah and a 20/20 investigation. However, when I went to try to find the actual transcripts of those two shows, I couldn't. Just for curiousity I'd like to see if there is actually record of it and to see what they had to say. Did anybody actually see the Oprah or 20/20 episode or is that all part of the scam?
Incidentally, I also find it interesting that the letter tells you that it's only $6.00; but then you have to mail 200 letters, so who's paying for all that postage?

I'm a painter for the summer, and we did an exterior job today, which included painting aluminem sidings on the house. The problem is that it is not meeting the client's expectations and we have agreed to void the contract of this project .

We already painted a part of the siding before we stopped. So now we have to remove that paint. Now, removing the paint is causing us alot of problems, as the paint doesnt seem to come off. If we cannot restore the sidings to its original looks, what are our options?

Are they allowed to sue? If they call professionals to fix it, do we have to cover the costs? What are the possible situations that may occur? I don't want us to end up paying like $200 each to get a stupid thing fixed.

I was wondering if the year to date amount continues to add on from my first stub through my most recent pay check stub, or does the amount shown start over every new year (January 1)?
EX: If I have worked at a company for four years, will my year to date amount show what I have made throughout the four years? Or will it show what I have made from January 2007 to most recent?

My mother is retired living off of social security and VA disability. She currently pays $699 for rent but she wants to buy a house. She can't go VA (used it before). She makes 1800 a month. What price home could she afford to get or pre-qualify for?

Is it true that lending companies will not give you a loan if the mortgage/income ratio is greater than 33%? That makes no sense to me because there are so many people in our area buying $300,000 houses on a $20,000 income.

I'm moving out of my house when I turn 18. Which is in about 5 to 6 months from now. I have a job, I'm saving up money, and I already have a car payment I'm stuck with. I know I'm going to have to pay for rent, insurance, the car payment, and all my expenses to live. I know I'm going to have to have a tight budget.

Does anyone have just some good basic advice on what I need to do before and after I move into an apartment?

i have been looking for a house and have a real estate person that i have signed a contract with to show me houses and such,
She has not found 1 house for me to look at, she only shows the houses i call her about.
I looked by myself at a for sale by owner house yesterday and am ready to make a offer, but she says that we have to pay her her percentage.
The seller does not want to deal with agents, just sell her house and avoid commisions.
what can or should i do.

Hi,
I recently took out a loan with a major high street bank

They payed the loan amount into my account and on the same day took the first payment out.

It says on my contract "The loan with interest will be repayable as below:-
Commencing 1 month(s) after the loan is drawn, at intervals of 1 month y 11 payments of xxxx and a final payment of xxxx."

I have rung my manager regarding this and have recieved no response. It always goes to answer phone and when i leave a message i don't get a call back.

Also, if i payed back 1 installment at the same time as getting the loan, surely that basically means the loan was for a lesser amount, so the interest will be incorrect?

Any advice....i'm going on holiday shortley and now can't afford basic spending money :(

10 month ago I returned some auto parts after getting a RMA number. Subsequently I received an email that my credit card had expired and that they can not refund the money ($355) to that credit card. I provided another credit card number. I have been calling and emailing them every few weeks and they keep saying they are going to refund but nothing has happened yet. They have no address on their site but they are a huge company. What can I do?
