Ok, first of all, I know it's a scam...that's not what my question is about.
The letter I received in the mail about this "turn your $6.00 into $800,000 (blah, blah, blah" said that it had been proven by Oprah and a 20/20 investigation. However, when I went to try to find the actual transcripts of those two shows, I couldn't. Just for curiousity I'd like to see if there is actually record of it and to see what they had to say. Did anybody actually see the Oprah or 20/20 episode or is that all part of the scam?
Incidentally, I also find it interesting that the letter tells you that it's only $6.00; but then you have to mail 200 letters, so who's paying for all that postage?

It is a chain letter scam. A first cousin of a pyramid scam. You are supposed to send $6 to some one and then get all of these other people to send you $6. It is illegal by the way.

I highly doubt that Oprah or 20/20 have recommended that people do this. If someone wants you to believe that they did then they need to find the transcripts and program references for you.
