I ordered a fake fur coat that looked great on E-bay. It makes me look like an overgrown bear. My head looks like a pear with the coat on. I asked for an exchange but it was agreed that sales are final and I must honor that agreement. What do I do with this bear-like coat? I did not know what catigory to put this under.

I live in a converted hotel with sixteen other people. We have two coin-operated washing machines. One is officially recognised as broken. The other is pot-luck as to whether it works from one wash to the next.
So far, our landlord's response to this has apparently been to "write to the manufacturer". Is there anything we can do to poke him to take more urgent action as the course he is pursuing could take months, and in the meantime we all have to go home at weekends or take stuff to the laundrette, which is more expensive and massively inconvenient.
(We are all "professionals" not students and this is reflected in our rent).

My ex-girlfriend and I bought a house. Her name went on the deed because she had better credit. I was supposed to be added after a year. I spend a full year working on the house, paying 1/2 mortgage, most the utilities. I spent hundreds of hours and a lot of money fixing the place up. She hooked up with her boss, filed false charges against me and had the locks changed. She decided she didn't have to keep her word, and many personal belongings are still there. Can I sue for wrongful eviction? Or put a lien on the house for compensation for the year I spent updating and maintaining the place? Small claims court for my belongings? Argh. I was a fool in love, we had a kid and I trusted her.

Should I do a customer service job that dealts with investment products, or should I do a job that starts out as a manager trainee at a retail store? I just recently graduated in economics and got these two job offers.

Therefore, I was wondering if anyone knew the age restrictions for getting a job in the state of Florida. Much appreciated.

I have been told by a financial guy that if I invest 100 thousand of my home equity into an indexed universal life (s&p 500) with level term and minimum death benefit I would gain an average of 8% on my money over the long term. My money would compound tax free and I could access it via policy loans that are only 3% which is much lower than my tax liability would be and I would never deplete the money. I am guaranteed 3% but capped at 12% on the earnings of the cash value and any interest on any outstanding loans would be corrected by the cash values in the policy. He said I should also pay off my credit cards and car loan. Another thing I should do is save about 3 months of my current income for emergencies instead of using credit cards ever again. I plan to take out an interest only motrgage at 6% to maximize my tax deductability and lower my mortgage payment. According to this plan if I wanted to I could pay off my house much sooner if I wanted to and spend about $1000 less a month.
