I can't promise rich but I can give you richer. It might be tough though, are you sure you're up to it.

Don't spend any money you don't absolutely have to. Essential spending only. This can be very isolating as you can't go out with your mates, it's a bit tricky going to birthday parties without gifts etc. Explain to your friends that you are conducting a year long experiment into spending habits and ask them to bear with you. Any true friend will understand. With you essential spending keep it to a minimum so make sure you always go for the cheapest option.

Any spare money you have should first go to ensuring that any debts you have which you are paying interest on (except your mortgage if you have one) are paid off. Pay particular attention to overdrafts or credit cards they are extremely expensive ways to borrow money. Don't be tempted to clear them by getting out another loan. If you have any credit cards cut them up and throw them away.

Once you are debt free put every spare penny into a high interest savings account, preferably one you need to give notice to take the money out. As you won't be socilising much try getting a second job. It will fill the time and earn you a bit more. Also sell anything you don't want or need any more. Put all the money in your savings account.

Keep a note of what you are spending and earning and where it is. Track every penny.

At the end of 12 months you can decide if being richer is really worth it.

Good luck.

Is that how you define rich? Condo, car, Bank Balance?

What about love, respect from your peers, health, happiness?

I know many who would trade these for the material items you desire!

Well, you have several options. Choose what's right for you.

1. Win the lottery
2. Win a sweepstakes
3. Inheritate some money
4. Come up with an innovative idea and sell it to a company
5. Be frugal and save every penny you can!

If I were you, I'd go with #4... but always keep #5 in mind!

One thing, you have to save money first if you havent already. Unless you win Lotto or something. Listen, save as much money as you can, like $10000 and then invest it on something like shares, but make sure you read about shares by bying a book on ebay or shop and make sure read about the company your going to invest in. if its a big company use wikipedia or something if its small just visit and see if they are capable of expanding as a company. do they make enough to expand? if so invest you bugger!!

Simple, brotha,.....become a P.I.M.P. (lol, j/k)

if you into music, find someone to produce for you, (i'm a cheap producer to work with), get a studio quality mic (usually $200.00+), promote them on MySpace or MP3.com (get somebody good w/internet design and have them design the looks of any website u publish or use to promote), and have people pay you for them through PayPal or somethin' and/or sell them on eBay (give them 1 minute preview clips). that just might work, i know it worked for a few of my artists that tried it. come up with a cool unique name. if u don't think u good at music, take it from me, as a producer, i think "almost" everybody has some kind of music talent. i've worked with many people who started out bad, but turned out good, all they gotta do is find it. if u decide to do this, another good way for promoting music is to push your records. sell them to your friends or go to the local radio station. these are both effective ways as well. but if you decide to try any of this, just remember one thing....that is....stay on top of yo game and neva give up....good luck!
