My friend and I are opening our own wedding photography company. What would be a good name for our company? I want something catchy but classy (we are shooting weddings, after all). Also, I don't want to use our names.

We are located in the San Jose/Silicon Valley area if that is helpful.

I am a freelance makeup artist and paid mostly in cash..i also work in a day spa about one day a week and make commission (usually no more than $100) and I am paid in check..my work hasn't sent me any sort of tax forms.

I put most of my money into a checking account..My living expenses are very cheap, i live with my boyfriend and I really only have a car payment to pay monthly, but that's about it.

I haven't filed taxes in prob about 5 years..Any advice would help!

oh, I do know that I do not have a state tax where I live.

I am 24 and have spent my entire life in school; this means that in addition to my BA I also have two Master's Degrees. But it also means that I have very little work experience to put on my resume. I have included the jobs I've had (mostly summer, holiday, and temp work) as well as the copious volunteer work I have done.

The trouble is that I still am not getting a lot of bites. I send out my resume to several different companies a day, along with cover letters detailing why I would be a great candidate, but very few offers of employment. What am I doing wrong?

My boyfriend says that employers are afraid to hire someone with more education than they have for fear that I would replace them. He thinks I should not put my graduate degrees on my resume. On the other hand, I have no solid work experience to show, and most employers only want "experienced" people to apply. What do I do?

I have considered applying at Starbucks but my pride prevents me. Any ideas?

I am a renter, my gas bill is over $1,000 and it is because my landlord did not cover the swamp cooler or close the opening to it. I didn't even know this until a few weeks ago. I had been trying to heat the home only to have all the heat escape from these openings. I mentioned the lack of heat to him before and he told me that because it's a big house it would take longer to fully heat. Is there anything I can do about this?

I see it sometimes at my job, that a person will have " c/o Company Name", and then they have their name above it. Doesn't it all get delivered to the same place regardless of putting " c/o " on there?

I have a friend who rents a nice house in Venice Ca, a section of Los Angeles. She has been there 3 years now. The land lord has not registered the house with the housing dept. As far as I know houses don't have to be registered? But here is the thing: there are two houses on the one lot. She lives in the original house another house was added with no permits. It is also being rented out.
So is it a duplex? Is it qualifying as a property that must be registered and therefore inspected for flaws ? (like twice a year). The landlord is soo neglectful ie no smoke alarms, chipping paint everywhere, no light to the back stairs (also no rail on the stairs and it is very slippery when wet) ...on and on. The tenant is afraid if she complains he will jack her rent way up and then evict cause the property is not under any city regulations including rent control. The rent control only allows 3% increase per year. Her increases are a lot more every year. It is all so 'wild west' over there.

Tomorrow morning i have a interview as a car salesman at a big Toyota dealership. I have many years of sales experience as a home security sales consultant. Now my dad dropped a bombshell on me and refuses to pay for my education for my management degree. I have only one year left!! So now i can't afford the education and since he won't pay for school im out on health benefits. My job right now doesn't offer health benefits since it is a small company. I love my job right now, but im really screwed if something happens to me. Plus i wanna finish up school

So you guys think joining Toyota as a car salesman would be smart to do? I need to save $6000 for tuition for the last year and i can get tuition reimbursement from Toyota, plus i get health, dental and vision benefits too! So you think being a car salesman is a great way to get rich quick?
