I'm looking to start a non-profit organization in New Orleans, LA, and I want absolute controls over it, which I perceive a board of directors as being able to jeapordize.

Could someone also explain why boards of directors are even necessary in the first place? It seems to me like it would be run like a business. Why would you want to jeapordize your power to run your organization exactly as you wish?

and in turn I will pay off the outstanding debt. If they agree to this and then I pay them, what if they don't follow through with removing it with the credit agencies? Are they legally obligated once they agree to my terms? Obviously they won't do it before the payment is sent to them.

One of three bosses that I have is an absolute trash talker! She talks bad about everyone!! Its hard to hear her say these things because she IS my BOSS and its hard for me to even work with her. One of my best friends works with us, and she even made a remark about her and at that point I was ready for fight mode! But I can't because she's my boss...I've told another boss and it seemed as though it wasn't handled, oh well brush it off. How can I get her to shut up and stop talking trash about EVERYONE!? (without losing my job!?)

A friend of mine owns a house with an older "sugar-daddy" type of man. Both names are on the house as well as the loan. If this older man passess away (he's in his 80's), what happens to the house? Does she get to keep it? Is it considered part of his Estate (Due to him co-signing on the loan for her to get it?) Or would she have to refinance in her own name only? Sorry so many questions...

Would love to know!

One day last week all the major markets went up in value and yet virtually ALL of funds went down. Today, virtually all funds went up significantly and yet many markets went down. I accept that each market is made up of individual share and event when the market as a whole goes up some individual share go down. However, I cannot accept that virtually all funds go down when each market individually goes up. Are funds calculated in accordance with the prices of the shares they hold close that day?

My mortgage broker was trying to find a finance company for me.
My credit had 4 hard hits from one company and 2 from another
in about 26 days. All of these hit dropped my credit score drasticly.
I know the lower your credit score, the higher the interest rate and
at the same time, the broker can raise there fees(points).I"m not
saying that something illegal happened, but I would like to know
if this is common practice or shady practice.
