I am having an issue with the father of our daughter. We are seperated and when it come to filing our taxes its like a game to him. We have joint custody of our daughter, he is supposed to have her every other weekend and Thursday over night. Although that rairly ever happens. When it is his time to have her, he leaves her at his mothers house. This has been going on since the beginning. But when it comes to tax time he is racing to claim her and get a big refund back because of her. This makes me sick. He does pay child support, to my understanding, when claiming a child as a dependent and head of household the minor child is to reside in your house for more than half of the year.

i work in the office of a small company and i do most of the payroll tasks.
the owner doesn't want to file w-2s electronically, so that means i have to use this 25 year old word processor, which will be a new experience for me!!
so, can i not use it and just hand write the w-2s?? there are only 6 of them!! will the IRS accept hand written w-2s??

I'm hoping to buy a house soon, and have been in touch with a mortgage advisor.

He's found me a mortgage. I wanted to get a repayment mortgage because it's easy to understand: "after 25 years I will have paid off the loan, and I will own my house."

Unfortunately the "repayment" repayments are a little more than I can afford so I may be forced to get an interest only one.

The mortgage is fixed for 5 years and is fully flexible, meaning i can over-pay if I have enough money.

Now, here is the bit I don't 100% understand:

Lets say the "repayment" repayments are £900 and the "interest only" repayments are £700

At the end of my 5 year period if I wanted to "upgrade" to a repayment mortgage, but had just been paying £700 a month, will I be £12,000 short? (5 years of £200 a month short)

If so, do lenders let you pay this off and "clear the slate"?

Also, if I managed to pay £800 a month for 5 years would I only be £6,000 short?

Any additional info would help too!

I worked for a small company and one day my boss came into work and tried giving me my co-workers assignments. My co-worker said that was her work and asked why she was giving it to me and that I already had a heavy work load. I agreed and told my boss that once I complete my work that I would help my co-worker. My co-worker asked my boss why did she try to give me her work. My boss yelled and said because, "(My name), does not have any work". I told my boss why would she tell my coworker that and I told her the work that I was doing. She told me if I did not like it I should leave. So I left.

Now I am looking for work and want to know what to put down as the reason for leaving.

I have never in my life left a job. I just felt that if my boss did not appreciate the work that I was doing, or felt that I was not being productive enough. Then it was best for me to leave and work for a company where we both can benefit from my skills.
