Yes, but I don't think he will. He's found his fulfillment in philanthropy, and Walmart is anything but!

competition laws would probably provent him from doing so. Shareholders for Apple would also be very reluctant to agree the sale. Bill gates is not as rich as people think... A lot of it is tied up in business so he mightn't actually have the cash to do this.
