Can employers make you work on "Christmas".
What if it is against your belief. My job is so insane, they are open 24/7. I never really know when I am going home.
One of my boss's even said he worked 37 hours straight once. Is that normal. Can he make me. Help me! There has got to be a law. I have been going in and getting about 5 calls an hour. It is not even busy because of the holidays, but they still tell me I have to come in.
Isn't this "cost ineffective". How can they make money if there is no business.
WHY ARE SOME PEOPLE SUCH WORK, WORK "WORKAHOLICS".
I PREFER TO SPEND SOME TIME WITH FAMILY. I am getting old and could drop any second cause I have had High B/P for for 34 years. I don't like someone pushing me to the brink of death. It is just not right.
I DON'T WANT TO HEAR "BUSINESS AS USUAL", ALL THAT MEANS TO ME IS YOU ARE INHUMAN.

my employer told me since i couldnt do the exact job i was hired to do, that i was taken off the schedule. Yet i am under a drs care and have weight restriction and no overhead lifting. there are other things i could do. but i was immediately put back into the same position and expected to do the same stuff prior to my injuries. any help with this would be great

My friend and his family moved into a house here in our small town in missouri,but maybe getting evicted because the landlord does not allow visitors of anykind,ever. No family,no friends, no nothing? Its in there lease and they only accepted it because they were going to be homeless. If this happens they will stay with me for a while but can the landlord legally put somthing like that in a lease? It seems a tad bit ridiculous.

I am not an American, but I do stay in one of the US territory island for 3 years now. i worked as a massage therapist. We dont use license here. I want to get an employer in New York who can hire me and help me to get the licensing. I've been working in hotel industry for more than 10 years. I can do receptionist, concierge and massage. I know that a lot of people say that a 40-yr mortgage is not a good deal because you end up paying a lot of interest and the monthly payments are only slightly lower. But if that option was chosen anyway, would it be possible to refinance to a 30 year loan within the first five years so more equity can be paid in the house faster. In other words, is it necessary to keep the loan period to the 40 years even after refinancing? I would appreciate any help. Thanks

Recently i noticed three one dollar holds from companies i've never head of. It's similiar to the hold that would be posted when you sign up for a free trial but i haven't subscribed to anything lately. The last three things i've bought with my card online were from iTunes, Wal-Mart, and Overstock. Nothing else this month. I delete all e-mail scams unread and use anti-spyware frequently. I know the charges disappear after a few days, already the first one has been removed, but now i worry that i'll get a big bill in a month. The three charges are from Direct Discount Club, LT Savings Program, and Advantage Direct. Anyone else having the same problem? BTW, I bank with Citi.

I recently setup a Simple Start Roth IRA from Fidelity and have automatic deposits to a Fidelity Freedom Mutual Fund every month. I deposit $200 each month to the fund and would like to continue so until I max it out for the calendar year. For subsequent years, should I begin contributing to another mutual fund within my Roth IRA to diversify my portfolio fund a little or should I continually contribute to that fund. The reason why I'm asking is because the Freedom Fund I currently have is a target retirement fund. I am interested in more aggressive funds that can help maximize my portfolio.
