Even if a company producing a particular item has to use it, as in the case of a power generating co. using its own power, prudent accounting norms would require accounting for the cost of the item used up internally, even if they dont have to pay. It is possible that the various tax authorities may insist on paying the tax element on the final product used up and so some record has to be maintained.

they have to genorate the power some how weather its burning coal wich they would have to pay for or using nulear or water they have to pay for the source tht genorates it.
