It's great to be setting career goals at your age. My high-school had a career guidance program, but the problem was they scolded us if we didn't pick something that paid a lot. Frankly I think that was wrong. IMO, You should strive to be something that is beyond a simple 'Job Title'. Strive to reach a dream. Keep you feet on the ground for day to day things, but have a vision for the future. Ask yourself 'How can I make the world a better place and not care if others think badly of me?' Use your mind, your hopes and fears, and your faith to guide you.

The teaching profession is a good one because it opens doors to all sorts of jobs in industry that involve interpersonal communication. If your marks permit, I suggest enrolling in a general sciences faculty of a good university. This is a four year course that will give you a general overview of science, the humanities, art and knowledge in general. You will discover what interests you most and broaden your horizons. Then, if you still want to be a teacher after you graduate, it is a shorter course to get your teaching certificate, and because you also have a BSc, you command more money.

As an aside, the university experience matures and brings depth to your character. I strongly advise it if you can financially do it.

Work's a curse. I say to hell with the work you have to do to earn a living! That kind of work does us no honour; all it does is fill up the bellies of the pigs who exploit us. But the work you do because you like to do it, because you've heard the call, you've got a vocation - that's ennobling! We should all be able to work like that
