i earned 53 cents during a 30-day month in a savings account that pays 5.16% and my average daily balance was $127.89......i am playing around with the future value formula FV= PV[1+(r/m)]^(m*n) and i cannot figure out how they got 53 cents of interest from a $127.89 average daily balance? Interest is compounded daily and computed from the average daily balance on the last day of the month.

Child care expense are usually tax-deductible as long as a registered provider caring for the baby. But in my case, my wife's friend is caring for our baby. We pay her $500 a month. Since, she is not a "registered" business, is my spending still tax-deductible?

My boss informed me that there was a lot of internet usage going on at the workplace and that he was going to put an "internet screener," (as he called it) On a daily basis, I check my yahoo mail account, my myspace account, sometimes my ebay account, and various other things (pay cell phone bill, transfer funds, etc, etc) I was in my boss's office today, and to my absolute HORROR, I found a peice of paper listing my email accounts/user names AND PASSWORDS!! for ALL of the accounts that I access online. I am absolutely horrified, and feel that my privacy has been compromised. He never fully explained what this screener was, and I just figured it would allow him to see the names (only) of the websites that i visited..i.e yahoo.com, ebay.com, etc, etc. Well apparantly it gives him much much more. Can anyone please help me? Has this happened to anyone else? Has anyone else ever heard of a screener? Can someone please tell me if this is LEGAL? Because it certainly feels illegal.

Hello,

I am looking to buy a hotel in Washington, DC that is for sale. We are also considering a few other properties in simliar large cities with solid net operating income and good annual occupancy (60% or higher). My family has started a coporation last month in NY and we have no assets or income flow. We are looking to find a hotel loan for 6.5% for 85% of the cost and then find a second loan for the remaining 15%.

We have considered issueing stock instead of a second loan. We are worried that if we use this method, someone would buy more than 50% of the stock and take control of our coporation and aquired assets.

What would someone recommend be the best way to aquire our first hotel? We believe that this will be the toughest purchase and the rest will be easier after we have established creditability. All the prospective hotels have been in existence since at least 1998 and have all financials.

Thanks for your help,

lemonpiesaregood

When I searched yahoo real estate under "foreclosure" I found few houses status in REO. When I saw details, it said "the estimated sale price $80339". Its 3br in Santa Monica. Seems to be too cheap. Is it just how much the previous owner owe?

How can I find out real estimated sale price?

I have been working in the shipping department for a new aerospace company for the last one and a half years. With this job I am responsible for International Hazardous Material shipments, International palletized Government shipments, many containing millions of dollars in equipment, and also meeting serious fiscal related deadlines. (Besides all the other everyday in country shipments) The company is about 400 to 450 people strong and it is only my boss my coworker and myself in shipping (3 of us). In the past year and a half the paperwork side of the job has increased greatly as well as many other regulations. And to top it all off, I've been bending over backwards to make sure everything gets where it needs to be no questions asked.
What do you think this kind of work is worth?
