What does Friday have to do with it?
Consider this, would you want your employer to pay you late?
Why is being late to work okay? Your work schedule should have been distinctly outlined to you at hiring. And leaving early is stealing from the company - just because you don't take a full lunch break doesn't give you the opportunity to cut your day short.
Some companies consider tardiness the same as AWOL. And can fire you for excessive tardiness.
Adjust your personal life, being late ten minutes shows poor planning on your part. You can do this, don't lose your job because you aren't a "morning person"...
