In most of the mini-marts and gas stations I've been to lately, there is a white bag around the "J" pipe that goes from the sink's drain into the wall. The clerks I've asked have no idea why it is there. I was hoping a small business owner would know. I live in California. Your results may vary.

im having a problem with my new bank, since i just changed bank accounts my payroll check was not direct deposit, it was a paper check, so i went to deposit it friday night. Expecting it to be there monday morning i went ahead and wrote some checks for a few bills, etc. Well, its not! they are giving me some bull **** that since im a new customer, all checks have to go through a 7 day waiting period...this is a payroll check though! i know there is a law against holding a payroll check! so it wont be available until next monday! can someone back me up on this law?

ok i left high school in 1997 all i wanted woz to earn some money, so got a job as an office junior that has progressed into admin assist and then customer service, as anyone else as an admin worker will tell u the pay is poor, i get bout £200 per wk for a 40 hour week i'm always asked by girls why havent u got a girlfriend, i'm told im good looking but i dont even bother asking girls out cos i couldnt afford to treat em or take them anywhere, and cos i cant afford my own place i'm still with mum n dad.....that aint gonna go down well.
so i've woke up know i need to do somethin but what, bear in mind i'm not the brightest but hardworkin n willing to learn, maybe i should just marry a rich girl any offers...lol no seriosley any advice i've been looking in the paper at jobs and i'm gettin no where.

My landlord is being uncooperative and I'm having hard time finding my rights without speaking to a lawyer (too poor to afford a lawyer). In August I went in to extend the lease that was going to end in August. However, the lady made a mistake and started my new lease in November! Then about a week after (before Sept. even starts) I got engaged, and asked my landlord if the lease could be adjusted so I could move. She said I signed what I signed and it didn't matter if they messed up. Now I'm ver concerned about being stuck with extra rent for months I don't intend to live there. I plan to ask a superior of hers today about the situation. Do you have any further advice?
