My boyfriend and I lease shop space. We signed a year's lease and have about 7 mos. left. The property manager just notified us that we have to move out in 60 days because they are turning the space into a carwash. Do I have any rights? Is a lease signed just to protect the landlord?

I am starting a new job on Monday. I haven't worked for just over a year following major spinal surgery and having to learn to walk again. I'm so pleased I've got this far, but I think I've lost all my confidence in my ability to be a 'normal' working person and I'm getting jelly babies in my tummy just thinking about Monday morning...eek!

Can a landlord use Water and Sewerage bill payments, and Water Heater Payments as a tax write off? I know that landlords have to claim rental income on their taxes as income, but are there any write off's? I'm thinking about buying an apartment building, but I can't find anything that says what is a deduction.

We just moved....to Florida....and my husband's bossman won't give us a price of living raise unless we PROVE how much more it is to live here than in Baton Rouge. We know the difference but have to show it on paper. News articles or real estate reports can help. Whatever you know...tell! Thanks ahead of time.....
