We just moved....to Florida....and my husband's bossman won't give us a price of living raise unless we PROVE how much more it is to live here than in Baton Rouge. We know the difference but have to show it on paper. News articles or real estate reports can help. Whatever you know...tell! Thanks ahead of time.....

Here is the best that we can do. You'll have to do the particular research yourself.
Energy Statistics from the US Government: http://www.eia.doe.gov/
Search for cities & Counties in the US: http://www.naco.org/Template.cfm?Section=Data_and_Demographics&Template=/cffiles/counties/city_srch.cfm
Closing costs comparisons by States: http://www.bankrate.com/brm/news/mortgages/ccrank.asp
Information on any city in the USA: http://www.bestplaces.net/
Information on any school: http://www.greatschools.net/
All US States Constitutions and Web sites: http://www.constitution.org/cons/usstcons.htm
US Census Bureau for real estate information all states: http://www.census.gov/
Statistics on real estate from the Feds: http://www.fedstats.gov/
Directory of state’s Chamber of Commerce some include relocation packages: http://www.uschamber.com/chambers/directory/default.htm?st=nm
As you can see it's a lot of research but I'm sure that the results will be rewarding.

Show them a canceled check for rent or a mortgage payment. Then show them the quailty of the area you lived in.

Chamber of Commerce may be your best and easiest source, in both cities.
