I have a credit card through Capital One with an APR of 21.05% I've had it since April. My score is 733 according to "My Credit Inform" that Capital One offers and my limit is 750. I took the first offer that came in the mail. But the card really doesn't offer me anything else, cash back, etc. Should I be concerned about the perks or have the APR lowered? I don't pay it off each month like I probably should, but I do pay well above the minimum. But also, should I go with a card through my credit union? and how do I get the balance transfered?

I am married and 31. My wife works and I work full time. Losing my salary would be a struggle for sure...but not kill us. I am just so damn unhappy at work. No kids yet...but want them for certain.

I am considering buying property in either Saluda County South Carolina or Ridgeway South Carolina. Neither location has huge populations, but since I am going to be buying between 30 and 50 acres, how can I determine which one stands a better chance of growth in population so the return on the investment is higher?

Hi, I'm looking for some advice on the different kinds of blue collar jobs available. So far, becoming a Paramedic or Police Officer are leading the way, but I have thought about jobs as an Electrician, Emergency Room Nurse, HVAC Mechanic, and Truck Driver. I'd like to find a job that constantly has something to do, as I become very restless when I have to sit around all day.

As far as pay is concerned, something around $35,000-$50,000 would be comfy for me, nothing higher. Any ideas, advice, suggestions?

I have excellent credit, been employed 2 years plus same job, make $100k, and am getting married shortly (I expect to be making $110k by March). I would like to be able to buy a house in the $500,000 range. I have little downpayment funds. I could swing $20,000 selling an investment. I also have $10,000 in debt (credit card). Should I pay down the credit card debt or accumulate more cash for a downpayment? Also, would my salary support a mortgage of about $480,000? (If unaffordable, how much does my wife need to make also for us to be able to swing this?) The house will most likely be in Suffolk County Long Island where the taxes are high. I see taxes of $6k min to $10k prior to STAR, a gov't giveback program that reduces the rate.

Our family may be appearing on a kitchen remodelling show in the near future. Are we going to have to pay a gift tax on the portion of the remodelling we do not contribute financially to? For example, we contribute $5,000 towards a kitchen, and the TV network creates a kitchen worth $20,000. Will we owe taxes on the difference?

I've heard that the more credit history you have, the better it will be for huge purchases like a house. But since I just moved in my first apartment (I'm 25, I know I'm a late bloomer), I was thinking of all the extra money I would have just by not having to pay off those cards. Thanks in advance!

i moved in to an apartement and when i signed the lease there was an additional paper that i and my roomate had to sign saying we accept that there could be black mold in our apartment. well we signed it and less than 2 months after we moved in we found black mold growing throught the pain everywhere!! under the toilet seat along the window sill. i even bought a brand new rug for the bathroom and it now has small amounts on the bottom. was it illegal for them to have made us sign something without showing us how bad it could be. i am afrad that it is going to get really bad. plus i was recently sick with a chest and head cold...what do i do

I have loved cats since childhood. When we were kids, my sisters and I would always find cats wandering around the playground in the local park, and bring them home. Of course
my parents never liked it, but they let us keep them anyway.
Anyhow, I would like to be able to work with cats all the time.
Are there any careers that would allow me to do this?

Is it a certain percentage of what you gross?? Does the amount you make per hour have an affect, or is it a certain amount taken from what you gross like $20 a check?? I've been looking at my paystubs and I still can't seem to come up with the answer.
