i want to know because i dont have a job if i could still clame it to get money back i have no other in come so can some one please help me out on this

Absolutely- She is claiming it as an expense (a deduction for her).

You need to claim it as Income because Taxman may check to see that you did.

Rule: Never Evade Income Taxman

Sweetheart. How can you get money back if you haven't paid any in?

Did the people you babysat for withhold money and give you a W-2? If they did, then you can file and providing you did not earn above the standard duduction you could get those withholdings back. But if they didn't withhold, there is nothing to get back.

Ignore above answers. You only have to file if you owe money. I doubt you made enought to require filing.

you should report the income on your taxes, you will probably owe self-employment taxes(unless she withheld social security) but you may offset that if you qualify for the Earned income credit

If she is claiming it, you may be able to as well. I think you had to make atleast $5000 in order for it to be claimed.
