I'm 17 and I've never had a job before. I want to be a cartoonist. I'm wondering if anybody can give me hints on writing a resume under these conditions. Thanks for all your input.

I was advised to just smile and do your job and ignore them.

I just had an interview last Friday. It's an internal auditing position for the county. They explained that the 1st interview involves 9 questions, they rate you on your performance based on 100%. Overall I think I did all right. I feel I answered 7 out of the 9 questions smoothly, straight to the point, with examples from past experiences. However, I struggled with the other 2. I was truthful and told them I needed time to think about it. They seemed like they understood stating thats "they know how it feels to be interviewed". The guy (person who asked and answered most of my questions) smiled a lot and nodded in agreement to what I said throughout the interview. The lady was quiet most of the time but I kept eye contact and tried to include her too. I asked questions (ie. what do you want the candidate to focus on in the first 6 months on the job?). I ended by thanking them and stat, I was excited to work for them and looked forward to hearing from them. Feedback? Thanks

I have about $100k to start up a small business in LA area, So Cal. I will probably drop about 40k in the first 2 months.
I need to pick a bank. So far I've seen reams of poorly presented comparison info on negligible differences.
I do need checking obviously, and would llike bill pay. I want to turn interest on the unused capital. I need the bank to be friendly to credit card transactions, w/ minimum of fees. Wouldn't mind carrying credit card with the same bank, so need to think about associated fees and maybe a spending report.
Please list banks you think are good for me to consider. National, or at least multi-state only please.

The title lists both our names (there's no AND or OR-just our two names). Will I be able to sell it without them? (We've parted ways.)

Some lady told me that if you start when your 23 and put 4 grand a year away till your thirty you wont have to ever put any money in it again. And two other people told me that if you start when your 25 and put 80 dollars a month on it you can retire when your 50 and have a million dollars accumulated for it doubling every seven years and from gaining the interest. I don't know about all that but can someone tell me about it and if it is a good investment. what are some other good investments to start with a little amount of money? Like cd's and keep rolling them over?

I see coupons, especially the ones dispensed on store shelves, which say "Do not double". Since the stores themselves are absorbing the cost of the doubling, why should the manufacturers care?

In my last job, my boss was always taking me to the basement and cussing me, putting me down, and accused me of mistakes that I was not making to cover up for it. I have documentation of the derogatory statements that she made with the dates and everything. Do I have a case here? Should I call a lawyer? Does anyone know how I can find out? Please Help!!!
