I was thinking about doing some data-entry work at home part time for some extra money, but all the listings I have found (on craigslist) sound either fishy or outright scams. Does anyone work for one of these companies? What's the catch? Please help!

The software I use to generate reports kicks them out in an excel format. I need to turn the report into a word document that is more visually pleasing to view the information from the bland excel report. Any suggestions or ideas how I can accomplish this?

Is it better to buy a house for cash, and use up all the money, or is it better to just put down a partial downpayment, and use the money for other things (IRA, buy car for cash, put downpayment on car, etc)

I would personally think that avoiding ALL the interest on a mortgage would be quite worth it, but I am not an expert.

I also don't think it is worth it to have ANY payments on a car, and therefore think it is right to pay cash for any car I would buy. Paying interest on a thing that doesn't increase in value would be a big mistake in my opinion...HELP!

Any ideas of places that will provide rent assistance? For example, vouchers, money, checks, and such. The Housing rent assistance, where they base your rent on 30% of your income takes forever to get into, and I need help now!

...after breaking his leg and hand in Iraq. This was almost a year ago. He is fully recovered and has no limitations to physical activity. He wants to start a career in fire fighting due to not being able to go back into the army b/c of his injuries. My question is how can he get started? I don't know what he needs to do to get this career started. He is a very motivated man and has a huge heart. He is always wanting to help others and thought this would be a good way to give back to his country. I want to help him get started but neither of us know where to start.

I have put alot of time and money into schooling for this profession and now I can't find a job. I've been looking for months. I have to find a job soon, I am broke. I've been going through the list of companies on transcriptionresource.com but I haven't had any luck. I had my credit card stolen this morning! I have cancelled the card but can anyone tell me - - I am going to New York in a few weeks and I booked tickets to see a show while im over there months ago. I have to bring the card with me to get the tickets. Will this still work as I will have a new card?? What do I do??

Every year the company I work for pushes us to give to United Way. I have never given in the past because I had heard that the CEO earn mega bucks and would rather donate directly to causes instead of through United Way. Plus I don't like the way they say I should donate and was told that the local United Way guy told our boss that our company should be given more than we do! Just found out that my lawyer has not discharge a my bankrupty and wants some owed money. My falt. I want to get the discharge dated years ago so I don't have to wait another 6 or 7 years to clear my now good credit history. Is this legal and can he do this for me??
