Imagine just for loaning money you get 19% interest. That's more than most banks pay!
The highest I know of what banks pay is 12.5%
and that's Credit Union not bank! Also banks want all kinds of questions answered.. just for loaning money! Say you loan $75 and you get it all back plus 19% on top of that that would be
$94 you'd make a profit of $19 just for trusting the borrower? (Never loan money without a written Guarantee!)

I have a friend that has back bills that she can't pay. she has more then 10 creditors none of them are credit cards. she has been sued 3 times but in all cases the court has refused to take action because she has been paying something every month. the rub is that is that the payments she is sending never amount to more then $5 a month.
Most of these bills are medical. a few are not. none of these payments are loan related in any way
lastly she has bad credit and doesn't care.

Two years ago I sold a vacation property through a national real estate broker. I recently receive a letter from the closing lawyer stating there are unpaid taxes for part the year in which the property was sold. He gave me an amount he stated was my share and requested a check. I don't have the money to pay the taxes and assumed they were handled at closing (that's what I paid the lawyer and real estate firm for). Am I responsible for the taxes if they are in fact due or should the lawyer's or real estate broker's bonding company make good on the mistake of the professionals I paid to represent me in selling this property and cover the taxes?

I was planning to buy a house and have been working with a really great realtor for about 3 months. For a variety of reasons, I have changed my mind about buying. I feel terrible about all the work my realtor has done to help me. How do I tell him I want to stop looking? And do I owe him anything for all the work he's done?
