i just read an article on how california, is rasing their minimum wage, and how big corporations, and labor unions are fighting it, and i wonder why they would fight something that would help out working class people? are they just being greedy or are they just not sympathtic to their workers?

I just found their website and they said they will pay you 3, 5, or 6% interest daily. Is this reliable? It seems too good to be true. Any idea and suggestions?

Here is their website:

The wrench is German I believe. It has two open ends on the same side and one closed end on the other side. I've never seen one like it, but I'm trying to help an old pal who works with antiques and I can find NOTHING on this particular item. Anything is better than what I have to work with right now. Thanks so much for any help you may provide!

The only requirements the fire departments in my area have are that you are 21 and have a high school diploma. I'm currently attending college and am wondering if I start taking courses gearing towards a fire science degree if it would put me ahead of other prospective applicates. I've been told courses in first response and EMT would help with getting a job but I'm wondering if these are things the department might send you to after you get hired.

Or how fast could life advance with the help of technology? Maybe its a race to see who wins but neither side thinks the other can win when infact both end up winning in the big picture of things. Like both sides are blind to the fact that each is advancing very fast and there for think they can win a race but its the fact that they race that makes them winners.

I am in college now and I'm going into my juinor year, but I have yet to sign up for a credit card. Honesely I'm kind of afraid becuase everyone tells me "Don't get a credit card like I did you will ruin your credit forever" Now I know the basics, don't buy anything you can't make a full payment for at the end of the month. But what would be a good credit card to get? I keep getting all there words thrown at me like APR and credit score and such.

So I'm asking what would be a good kind of card for me to get to start building good credit?

My boss is transferring to another department. I'm applying for his job; as his assistant and second-in-command for the past three years, I have every confidence in my ability to be successful.

However, my boss tells me I lack communication and management skills; he has downplayed or not acknowledged my accomplishments for some time. I believe this is because he has been working less and less for the past two years after starting a family. Several people have questioned the hours he puts in and how much he accomplishes, and he has taken that out on me.

Since my boss will still be working here in another department, I don't want to say anything negative about him. BUT - deliberately or not, he underestimages and misjudges my abilities. In all fairness, I don't communicate with HIM well, mostly because he changes the subject or gets mad if I say anything he doesn't want to hear.

How do I handle interview questions such as, "How would you deal with a difficult person," etc.?

I am extremley quite at work i rarely speak much besides the congenial hello and good by. I am very reculsive. People have even said to me that they dont know much about me and i've worked here for a while. Could the situation presented above lable me as a lush or alcoholic and could I become a victim of slander? Other people were drinking/smoking and having a good time but I fell that I may have gone over board.

Okay, Mommy was going to kick me out while she was dating her boyfriend. But, after her boyfriend put a WWF smackdown on her like something awful, I charged him and he left before the police got there. Well, he kept us afloat and made good money, about $550 weekly! Well Mommy got laid off at the aluminum plant and I can't get on there because I don't have my GED. I went down to McDonald's today to start work. I got hired there last week. Well, I started today and they had me start slow on the fountain. I was just making drinks as the orders came up at the drive thru. Well, I found a unique taste by mixing coke and sprite. So, I started making new flavors as folks ordered their usual sodas. Then folks were returning saying the soda tasted funny. Then, I was put on the grill. Well, I decided to add ketchup to the Big Mac instead of the "special sauce." Well the customers went nuts and complained. The manager cornered me and I told him that I put a new spin on things. Was I wrong? Help!

It seems that building up credit is extremely important in the U.S., but as an international student this is very difficult. I am looking for a credit-building credit card, but nearly all student credit cards that I have come across require the applicant to be a U.S. resident, which I am not. I do, however, have a social security number.
