Okay, Mommy was going to kick me out while she was dating her boyfriend. But, after her boyfriend put a WWF smackdown on her like something awful, I charged him and he left before the police got there. Well, he kept us afloat and made good money, about $550 weekly! Well Mommy got laid off at the aluminum plant and I can't get on there because I don't have my GED. I went down to McDonald's today to start work. I got hired there last week. Well, I started today and they had me start slow on the fountain. I was just making drinks as the orders came up at the drive thru. Well, I found a unique taste by mixing coke and sprite. So, I started making new flavors as folks ordered their usual sodas. Then folks were returning saying the soda tasted funny. Then, I was put on the grill. Well, I decided to add ketchup to the Big Mac instead of the "special sauce." Well the customers went nuts and complained. The manager cornered me and I told him that I put a new spin on things. Was I wrong? Help!

I'm so hurt by the answers. My Mommy really stuck it to me when I returned home. I just came on here for some support. I used to be so lonely. But now with Yahoo answers, I am no longer lonely and have made a few friends. Does anybody have anything uplifting to say?

Let me say, I;m old enough to be your dad. But anyhow...I find kids in the workplaces goof around too much, don't seem to get it in thier heads, that if the place doesn't make money, YOU don't have a job. I worked for a fast food plasce over 7 years and quit because I am not superman. I wasn't a manager, but had to worry about rotating stock, labor cost, speed or service, cleaning the place, and being nice to the customers. Being THE senior employee at this place, I'd punch in, and nearly everyone left and punched out (not in that order). I 'd come in to see 8 people on the fast food clock, and it often would be only me making food, cleaning up the place, closing it down, washing dishes. I did my job and those 8 other people's jobs. But, I quit when I came in one day, my boos was on line, and she told me to go faster and come on..There was next to no food on the line, and a line of cars caused by the people all the way to the highway.I said, :Boss I had to re0stock the food on the food prep line" and she irked me, causing me to quit saying, "It doesn't take that long, don't get smart with me. So, I said, that's it, I am am not going to continue doing the job of 8 people, and I quit. I went and punched out, took off my shirt and hat, and told her, "Thanks for the 3plus years I never got a raise and expletive" She threatened to call the police on ME! I left, but I see now, they arern't making the money at night like they used to. So to summarize, you have to be serious about impressing your new or long time employer. Don't goof around. These thousands of others you will come and go and replace you or me. Maybe not ME. I heard the place I was at might close, due to lack of sales. Was I good? I think I was worked like a slave. I nearly did managment but only got closer pay. MAjor fast food places do not pay employees who CARE what we deserved. You'll get another job.

Well your mistake was not following directions. I am 15 now, but when I worked at sonic on the founatin I was 14. All I had to do was make drinks and desserts, not a hard job if you follow directions. I think on the next job just do what the employer tells you, they will be pleased.

Yes wrong. Hope you like pb &J and camping. Consider the military, airforce is safest, you need some dicipline, w/o a role model at this age you are doomed for a life of failure. Obviously you enjoy it, you are self defeating.

It might be fun but you have to make it the way it's supposed to be made....if the people wanted ketchup on their Big Mack then they would have asked for it that way

How old are you? What you did is ridiculous. Did you really think you could do things your way and keep a job? Grow Up.
