My sister was contacted by a collection agency. They demaned payment of $200.00 immeditaly. She said she didn't have the money, nor a credit card, nor a checking account. The representive of thre collection agency said that they will then garnish her wages. She found out that the agency took out $100.00 from her check and will take out another hundred next check. Now ,when she had her wages garnished before, the collection agency set up a meeting at the courthouse and they came to an agreement on how much was going to be garnished from her check and the amout was for $2,000.00 not just $200.00. Is what the collection agency did leagle? If not what action can she take against the company. The bill was for a vist to the emergency room, and it was only 5 months old.

I'm 30 years old and earn a respectable salary in my IT career that I've been doing for 10 years.

Now I'm totally bored of it and want a change, and thought about working for the police. But, I earn double the starting salary of a police officer, and wouldn't be able to pay my mortgage if I did that.

What do you think? Are there any options available to me?

Where do lenders list the properties they're re-selling? Is there a notice in the papers when a foreclosure is happening? Are there legitimate auctions out there done by banks and not those scam companies that are only selling lists? Thanks.

Right now i am having to ride to work with a friend, because my license are suspended. My job is an hour and half away. I used to stay with a friend near my job when my ride wouldnt go, but now she is under investigation for drugs. (I dont do them) So i no longer stay there. My ride tends to take alot of vacation time so i am usually stuck with no ride and not going to work.

It is causing me alot of stress wondering whether or not i have a ride and job.. Should i go ahead and quit and try to find a job closer to home and if yes how should i tell my husband.

SERIOUS ANSWERS PLEASE!!
