Right now i am having to ride to work with a friend, because my license are suspended. My job is an hour and half away. I used to stay with a friend near my job when my ride wouldnt go, but now she is under investigation for drugs. (I dont do them) So i no longer stay there. My ride tends to take alot of vacation time so i am usually stuck with no ride and not going to work.

It is causing me alot of stress wondering whether or not i have a ride and job.. Should i go ahead and quit and try to find a job closer to home and if yes how should i tell my husband.

SERIOUS ANSWERS PLEASE!!

I work an hour and half away, there was only the one person to carpool with that lived within a 30 mile radius of me. So no one else. :-(

With the price of gas these days I couldn't imagine having a job that far away, never mind the time out of my day. That would cause anyone stress.

I imagine it would be an easy decision to begin to look for a job much closer to my home. My husband would be fully supportive of any decision that I made with a clear head, and yours will be as well.

When you find the right job, give your notice at your current one.

Yes, you need to find a job closer to home or one that you have reliable transportation to. Buy a bike and ride if you have to.

Find a job before you quit.

What is the big deal about telling your husband? You don't have reliable transportation and can't continue like this.

Take anything close to home - gas is so expensive, so is a car, maintenance etc.

Maybe you can ride the bus if there is one near. You could clean offices part-time but they will require proof of insurance.

It is always better to quit than to be fired. That is how I look at it, and tell your husband that way also. If you get fired it Will hard to find a new job, but if you quit, you can come up with you own explanation.
