Ok, I sold a Creative Zen Multimedia player on the 17 August to thio guy and sent it special registered delivery cos it's worth over £200. The guy then said he didn't get it despite the fact it shows online it was received and signed for. He also bought a PSP player from another ebayer on the same day then contacted him to say the same thing "I didn't get it" . After paying us, he closed his paypal account? His phone number is invalid, he doesn't reply to emails. do you reckon he:
1)Either hijacked someone's paypal account to pay us
2) Used a stolen credit card to pay us in which case we are liable to pay back the credit card company as we don't have seller protection. We sent to an "unconfirmed paypal address" which I wasn't aware of.
3) He is the person who own the credit card but is just trying to get both the goods and the money.
I've reported him to paypal and ebay but I really can't work it out. For example if he wanted back his money.. why close down his paypal account?

I'm trying to start a comics company. Needless to say, it's a little expensive. I looked through lots of magazines and they seem to make a lot of money from advertising. How do they go about getting advertisers? It would really help.

I mean, you can't take it with you when you die, and I would hate to die with a ton of money in the bank. On the other hand, I like watching my accounts grow, and I like the security it provides, just having the money. You never know when you may need it. What if I lose my job, etc. What approach should I take? I'm 30, single, and don't plan on having kids. Help me be at peace with this issue.

success with the local county webpage. Its give the most up to date information on local pre forclosures.....My question is, what is the best way to contact these individuals, going through foreclosure to inspect the property and make an offer? I am not sure I want to call these people, it may be a bit intrusive, how can I get them to contact me? Thanks!

It is my understanding that I may be able to include the cost of the insurance as a business expense if I pay for it as part of my business. I have not incorporated or anything like that--I just work on my own as a consultant with my computer, phone and my brain. I use my ss# as my tax i.d.

I'm confused by what it means to have my business cover the expense--I am "my business" and just pay for things like I always have.

Thanks for the help.

I've got a student loan from the SLC (Uk) and I heard a rumour that if they don't find you in 5 years, the bill is wiped. Is this true? Do they back date payments when/if they do find you?

I work in Human Resources, and I LOVE my job. It's great...sometimes I know more about people than they know about themselves. For example if they are about to get fired. LOL. Actually, I find that no one seems to even notice the HR Dept. until their paycheck is wrong or their benefits were cut off because they never bothered to send in their Open Enrollment forms, even though they had about 6 or 7 reminders.

It sounds as if I'm bitter, and I'm not really, but I do love all the day to day interactions with staff, and the fact that you never know what the day is going to bring you....you could have your whole day planned out, and then the phone rings, and BOOM----time to go put out a huge fire! I love the fact that no two days are the same. And I learn something new every day. Pretty cool.

I was wondering if there was anyone out there that knew the time line that an insurance company has to make an offer after a car accident? My husband was in a severe accident in December and was not at fault (hit head-on) and the insurance company has yet to make us an offer. Our attorney keeps advising us that it would be anyday now. Should we just be patient or do we need to find another lawyer who will push the insurance company? Also does anyone know the standard for such large settlements? We are concerned that they are not wanting to offer what we feel "helps" get us through this. My husband's entire face was crushed he ended up with 7 plates and 44 screws in his forehead, not counting the inches of scaring, and the broken teeth.
