fighter pilot in the USAF. My first run over Baghdad. This was by far the most stressful thing I'd ever done.

I'd have to say that I have yet to have a truly difficult job. Right now I'm an Accounting Clerk and I guess that's the most difficult job I've had so far. The most stressful was definitely retail, working at a woman's clothing store. What a pain. Well, I'm only 19, so I still have many more jobs to explore.

I have had some pretty hard, stressful jobs before, but being a housewife/homemaker is by the far the hardest & most stressful job I have ever had. Imagine being responsible for 5 people's needs 24/7, not being appreciated for it most of the time, missing out on the social interaction that a person gets with having a job outside the home, and not to mention- the pay sucks :)

Mail carrier. High paying ($17 per hour) but very stressful. Tons of junk mail that no one seems to want have to be delivered. Packages have to be delivered too. I started as floater meaning I had a different route just about every day. Got lost often even with map. Arranging mail in the morning is monotonous. Constantly being rushed. Have to be back at Post Office no later than 5p.m. with a truck with no mail left inside. Often could not do this and was chewed up by supervisor. Gotta worry about dogs, broken porch steps, bad weather, etc. I was fired after 60 days. I miss the money, but that's about it. Now I see why they go postal.

The most stressful job is to be an Army cook. It is not really a difficult job, just annoying because of the people you have to deal with and their attitudes. You tend to find a lot of troublemakers there and it's worse if you are in charge of them and responsible for them.

Being a DJ people think my job is a breeze, but they don't know the half of it. There are many stressful times and difficulties, but the truth is, it's all worth it. In the end you get satisfaction and enjoyment. I love my job.

I used to be a manager at McDonald's. Now, working at McDonald's is easy enough, but once you get to management, it is terrible! We were always understaffed, but my superiors (ie: operations consultants) thought it was "below" them to help out or basically try to do anything to fix the problem, and then they would come in unannounced and yell at you when things were going bad, even though it was their own faults for not doing their jobs properly!!! I was working insane shifts, one day I worked 5am to 1am (with like 1 break), and then when I paid myself overtime, I got bitched at and called a liar, because since my superiors weren't at the store, they assumed I wasn't either!! To top it all off, all of them were stupid as hell and only got to where they were by sleeping with their superiors!!! There is nothing more stressful than having to report to someone who is stupid, arrogant, and ignorant, and you can do their jobs better than them, yet they get paid more than you!!! It was god awful....

The job I have now....business consultant for a large corporation....my boss is an idiot and is extremely jealous of me because I am smarter and more educated them him. (He must feel threatened). The work itself isn't that bad, it's my surroundings and superiors. I have constant yelling, gossip, back-stabbing and underminding situations (including calling someone out in the middle of a meeting...so wrong...) and do not enjoy it at all...that's probably why I'm seeking a different job ASAP.

The hardest thing about my job is the competitive women that are there. They can't, or won't, just get along.
These people may as well just pee on their own work stations to remind everyone that it's theirs.
Trust me, it's not worth getting competitive over a dead-end job.

I am currently running a machine in a plant. Before I owned my own computer parts and systems retail shop. It really was harder owning my own business than working for others, but the money was also better.
