or what you owe thats is on your credit report also is there a number or website you can call to get this info becasue when I was like 16 I messed up my credit buying books and never paying for them but know that I want to get more things( I have the money now) I can't because my credit is so messed up.

Check with a credit rating agency (google this online) to see what your current credit score is. You'll need to get a credit card and use it wisely to eliminate the bad credit score over time. I believe it generally takes years to clear bad credit from your record.

For your "true" scores, use myFICO.
For your free credit reports use the link that the first poster added. Do not go to any other place for your free reports. annualcredit.com is the government site, the other 'so called' free report sites are scam sites.
