I must be getting old. I used to love Fridays. It's not that I don't enjoy the end of the working week, you understand. But by the time I get to Friday these days I'm too knackered to truly relish them.... now tell me what you think by voting on my blog entry "Woohoo! It's Friday!" And say hello while you're there? I don't get many visitors (boo hoo)...

I'm receiving collection letters under a variation of my name for accounts stemming from unpaid balances for BMG/Columia House music and DVD clubs. They don't have the correct spelling of my name though, should I worry and take their threats of reporting me seriously?

I am feeling this out on here.
At age 24 what do you think is an "Acceptable" amount to be in debt? This should include your student loan payments, personal loans, credit cards, etc... I am about $24 thousand in debt from 2 yrs of school, and 8 yrs of living on my own...
So, the question is- how much debt do YOU have if you're in your 20s? And what amount of debt should cause worry, how much debt is TOO much debt?

i work part time and recently i was asked by my employer if i would be interested in a full time opportunity. since i just got by bachelor's degree and college was out of the way, i said that i would be interested. i said that i would be interested and then when the time came closer to discussing and finalizing everything, my employer told me that my hourly rate will be the same except now i can work 5 days a week, full time. was i wrong to assume that since i am going from part time to full time and with a college degree that my rate will go up and that i would be a salaried employee? am i wrong to expect more ( at least salary and benefits since this technically would be a full time job? )help! i am not sure how to interpret this. thanks for any feedback.

There is a shelter in town that is hiring a secretary/recptionist. The shelter is a women's shelter that I have gone to for a support group, most recently last evening. I really enjoy the people that work there and I feel the need to help women that have been through my situation or something similar. Do you think it would be appropriate to disclose that I have come from a domestic situation similar to what they treat/help at the shelter? Should I disclose that I have went to one of their support groups? I feel like I should explain this to them and that I greatly benefit from the support and that I want to work in a position to return the support to others? Is this corny or hokey? lol

I have a great new job... pays better than I've ever made before. I love the people and all of that jazz but here's the deal... my boss's wife is supposed to help in the department I am in when we're too busy to handle it all on our own. She work's from home if need be while she stays home with their kids. Two days ago, I starting having to find little petty crap to do because my boss told me we were out of stuff. Come to find out, he's sending it all home to his wife... so i'm here at my job with nothing but staring at the wall.. while his wife is making money for doing what I am supposed to be doing and is spending it with her kids. What do I do?
