I'm almost 19. Trying to build my credit, and it doesn't make much sense to me, but I get things in the mail saying I've been approved for this credit card..then I apply and they deny me because I have no credit history. So how do you do that if you don't have any credit history???

I had targeted $1,200 for my employer-sponsored flexible spending account (FSA) for the entire year 2006 and used $900 through July. Up to July I had contributed $700 to the FSA plan. If I leave my job in August, will I need to repay the difference of the amount ($900-$700)?

i pay my taxes every year on my car, and the tax people went all the way back to year 2002, and trying to say i didn't pay my taxes
for that year. i know i paid them because evey year i get my car tags i have to pay taxes and than get my tags, because there is a tax block on it. i can't find the receipt
for that year is there any way i can prove this leagelly
, or do i just pay it again. any advice would be a blessing
. ps. they also went back to 1998 tax year. they garnished my wages without ever sending me a bill or anything

i had 8 credit cards, now i'm down to 2 plus a student loan. is this improving my credit to get current and then finally pay these creditors off? they all were at collection agencies, i got them up to current, and slowly one by one am getting them paid off. is this looking bad or good for my credit? im hoping this will re-build my credit and allow me to lookgood with my credit score and credit status. anyone know anything about this kind of stuff?

I have to send a package and on the USPS site they say it is going to cost 1.11 in postage. Its a flat package, so its okay for me to send it with stamps. I have stamps that are 'first class' but they dont say how much they are worth. Should I assume they are 34 cents and stick 4 of them on?

Me and my boyfriend moved into an apartment 3 months ago. and now were breaking up. Can i have my name removed from the lease? My new company will be up and running shortly (3 to 5 weeks). We are leasing slightly smaller space than we need, cutting back on computer needs, saving saving saving where we can...in hopes that by spending that money on PR and marketing that we can start off with a bang.
Who has good recommendations for PR firms for small biz? What about marketing and advertising? I don't want to end up with too big a firm because I think I will not be considered a serious account....and I worry that a small firm might not have the expertise I need. Any thoughts???

My apartment manager came by last night so I could sign my lease. I've lived there for five years and my rent has always been on time. This is the third owner of the property since I moved in. He has decided I should pay $600 a month instead of $505... that's HALF my monthly salary! Yes, I am looking for a new place to live and a new job.
