Where is a good place to put $150k that can earn money and I can have easy access to it?

I'll be using the money for realestate investments. I'll be using it as I find properties and I want a place to keep the balance until I need it, that can earn some interest. I need easy access to it so it cannot be tied up for an extended period. I suppose a mix of options might work if you have the right idea - some short term instant withdrawl and some longer term avaialability (months)

How do holding companies make money?

I've heard of companies that basically own other private companies or buy majority shares in public companies. Sometimes their holdings are is wholly different industries. How do these companies profit if their resources and knowledge are stretched thin? How do they make money off of majority share of public companies? Can any one own two different companies and put it under their head parent company?

Does anyone out there sitting at a computer wish they had a more blue collar type job?

Does anyone ever get sick of sitting at a computer doing work and never doing any manual labor? Some times as I walk into work I see the guy operating the big construction crane and wish I could do that. Or I see the guy mowing the lawn and wish I could sit on a tractor all day listening to music and day dreaming. I have a good job that most people would love to do, but think I must be crazy when I would rather mow the lawn sometimes. Anyone else have that?

People destroying/hiding my private mail, what would be the best thing to do?

Hey!
Sorry,the categorie might be wrong but I didn't know where to fit it in better.
So between October 05-February 06 I lived with my girlfriend in the United States (NJ) with her parents. However,in February we had a huge argument and got kicked out. So we moved to Germany into my house.
There was mail sent to her parents that was for me,it was pretty important work mail. Her Mom actually TOLD us it was there and wanted to send it over to Germany but her new husband just took it. Nobody knows if he destroyed it,trashed it or just keeps it somewhere (but he did NOT send it back to the persons who sent it).
We knew that for like 4 of months now already,but wanted to wait if he'll change his mind and send it over. Now I'm kinda fed up with that and want to know what to do.
Could I sue him for it(even though some time went by) and if, would I have to go to the USA for that or could I do it from here?
We took a lot of their bull**, got kicked out and I really need that mail now. THX :)

Do you have any work-from-home ideas for me?

I am a mother of two and I also babysit my nephew during the week. I am looking for something I can do at home maybe from my computer that doesn't have a HUGE start-up fee. Any suggestions? I am seriously interested in helping people and generating some additional income. Any of your ideas will help. I recently was working a regular job outside the home but I am now home with my kids.
