I would try using Google Earth and input the street and city it's in. Then click on the options to choose what kind of basic businesses that you're looking for (i.e. Restaurants, hotels). Granted, Google earth doesn't supply every business. It may be easier to use Yahoo Yellow Pages, if you're looking for a particular type of company.

I'm not sure you can, especially if it's a busy street. You could try Google Earth, which I know has good maps and connects to businesses. You have to download it though.
