I need to get another job (I work at an accounting firm) so that the mother of my baby can stay home to care for him -- we do not believe in daycare, too risky, and I want to do the right thing and be the provider.

Please give me tips on how other guys got the courage to make it happen, it seems so hard to have full responsibility on my back (what if I lose a job and we have no money for rent / food) but I know I have to do it.

I have already tried getting a raise, just not going to happen and i have my resume ready to send to other companies. This is a big step but the right thing to do -- not fair that the baby is not with mom while she also works all day..

Any advice can help... Shoudl I tell this situation while I interview? what if I have to get 2 jobs to have enough money and never see the baby b/c I am always working?

Is this what our athers went through and men today are just spoiled b/c women also make good money?

Thank you and please share how you did this?

I'm working part-time here in PA. But I am a New York resident. When it comes time to file for taxes (early I know, but might as well find out), do I file in NY or in PA?

Thanks.

My mother is 51.5 years old. She works 2 full time jobs. Once I finish college and as she ages, I know I have to help her finacially (whichs is fine). I want her to budget & save her money, how do I approach this in a caring manner and not sound controlling?

She raised five kids on her own and went without for so long. Now she just buys what she wants and saves little.

My business was a corporation in Indiana from 1999 to 2005. I filed bankruptcy on it 10/2005. I was declared permanently disabled in 2004 and will never be able to work a regular job. I have unpaid or underpaid 941 quarterly taxes due for various quarters in 2003, 2004 when I became disabled. Can the IRS garnish the $1,059 I receive from Social Security each month or are these funds exempt?

I work at a small accounting firm and one of the directors decided while she was away at maternity that she wanted to stay home with her baby. So she now works from home any hours she wants... I think they let her do this because she has been with with company from the beginning (8 years) and she knows all of the clients / history of accounts. She still sits in on meetings by phone (says her mother watches her baby during that time) but sometimes when I call her (all calls go to her mobile phone) she is at the playground or at the local farm with the baby....

I think that's a great deal for her (she still gets paid her regular hourly pay) but it is so unfair for the rest of us. Who wants to be stuck in an office knowing another worker is out having fun and spending time with her kid all day. She does always answer my questions when I call, but I can't get over how unfair this is. I wangt to see if other workers feel this way and complain to the boss?

A good plan?

until last year we had a good GM who has taken our company to a great height. Due to some misunderstanding with the owner he was sacked. I look after the accounts and admin. and getting a very good salary + perks. NOw this company is slowly becoming sick and the business is slowly coming down as compared with previous year. I am really worried even though I get good salary in time. Could some body give me a good advise what will be my future. I have been working with this co.for last 7 years. Many thanks in advance for your advise
