yesterday i was pretty annoyed with my boss because he made me work 15 minutes late the night before that, causing me to miss my favorite cosby show rerun (i read the analysis of the show anyway so screw him). so while i'm driving to work in my dodge neon i am thinking what kind of gag i can rip on my boss and then a light bulb goes over my head and a smile cracks on my face. i get into work and put all my stuff away and retrieve a brown paper back from my carrying case and retire to the bathroom with it. the night before i had eaten a lot of beans, carrots, and nachos so the dump that i deposited in the brown bag was drippy and smelly. i scurried to my boss' office where the door was closed and he was on a conference call. then i took out my lighter, lit the bag of dump on fire and rapped on his door HARD like 10 times then ran away to my cube. all the sudden i hear a holler at my boss' office and then the sprinkler system activates. he was too late in smashing the bag with his

I have a question, If I were a company and sold $100,000 of merchandise which was a credit sale on a 30 day term (not yet paid), how would this be inserted into a balance sheet and income statement?

What if the sale above consumed $65,000 of inventory? How is this inserted into a balance sheet and income statement?

Please help me understand sale/cost of goods sold/inventory..I don't get it!

I am an office manager for a small company who has just started out 4 years ago...I like the job because it's flexible, and the people I work for are very nice, and know for many years. The problem is that there's sometimes alot of fights among them, and there's alot of mis communication, and sometimes no respect. I never had work for a company before and have no experience. I'm trying to learn as much as I could to do my job right, but I'm not a fast learner, and sometimes they expect a lot from me. I feel pressured, uncomfortable with all of the problems, and the unorganization here in the company. At times things are cool, but then issuse come up every once in a while and I feel uncomfortable again. I'm thinking on leaving the job and look for another one...but it's not easy to look for a job that is as flexible as this one... but at the same time I get tired of all the drama, and problems we sometimes have. What would you do?? Would you put up with it, since it's flexible or leave?

I'm frustrated at the prices which UK stockbrokers charge for trades in UK and elsewhere. In the US online trades are around $7-10 whereas in UK they are £7.50 - £15. That's up to 4 times as much. If you trade often to take advantage of rapid price fluctuations, the charges will rob you of almost all your profit.

Surely there's a way to trade from the UK at US prices?

I have tried Charles Schwab, Etrade.com and Ameritrade, but none can accept a UK resident.

With thanks

I'm interested in learning what affects the ups and downs of a stock price, among other things. I can never seem to find a "Stocks for Dummies" type of thing anywhere.
