Everytime I use eye makeup remover, on my eyelashes, I lose about 5 lashes :(. I heard using a face cleanser on ur eyes works better, but won't it sting?

Are there schools that teach you just make-up? I don't want to be a make-up artist or anything like that I just want to be good at applying make-up do they have anything like this?

I live in Southern California so schools in WI wont do.
