Are there schools that teach you just make-up? I don't want to be a make-up artist or anything like that I just want to be good at applying make-up do they have anything like this?

I live in Southern California so schools in WI wont do.

the way my friend got around this was by getting her SAG card as a makeup artist. Generally, to be taught makeup in a school you have to go to esthetics school. If you're not interested in the skin care aspect of it all, then get a job at a makup counter that focuses on color. To be taught basic makeup go for Bobbi Brown or Laura Mercier. Go for MAC or NARS to learn about photography makeup and lots of color. GOOD LUCK!

conversing as a nurse i might say circulate to cosmetology college. nursing takes compassion!!!!!!!!!!!! image your self in a wellness middle or your toddler in a wellness middle with somebody dat is purely in it for the money!!!!!!!!!!!!! plus ya gotta evaluate that nursin college takes some years and in all likelihood would be plenty greater costly than cosmetology college!!! if u r no longer waiting to be hit, have your hair pulled, have all kinds of stuff flung on u, handling pus, feces, urine and different excrements continuously nursing isn't the alternative for u...........gl

Go to a nice department store that sells good cosmetics like Clinique, Estee Lauder or something. (Do they still have Merle Norman studios?) They will teach you how to apply and use make up for your skin tone and everything. Go to Macy's or Nordstrom or something like that.

Usually, when you start working for cosmetic companies like MAC, they teach you how to apply makeup. So to answer your question, see whether you can get training from one of their employees.

Yes. You need to get your ESTHETICIAN's license to apply make-up for money in California.
